Dance Groove Online gameplay

I am an Audition Online player of more than a year and I am already used in using the directional keys for 4k play and the numpad for 8k play. In that game, however, there is a rhythm bar that requires a player to press the space bar every move.

My question is, how exactly do you play Dance Groove Online? I've read that it uses the directional keys for 4k, the numpad for 8k, and apparently there's also a 6k play where you only use 789456 on the numpad. Is that it? How about the rhythm or beat? How will that be significant in this game? Is there a space bar kind of feature like in Audition? Do you have to press the arrows in a certain beat/rhythm, or is it just a constant stream with the same rate of flow the whole time?

[edit] Also, what other features does this game have? I remember reading something about attack/defense items. What are they, what do they do, and how to use them?

You have to press the keys in tune with the beat, kinda like DDR.

For beginers you only press the arrows but for 6k and 8k you press space I think.

Yeah, there are item modes but that only for teams.
They can flip the 'imaginary' stave upside-down.
Blank out the arrows so you only see the colour of the note.
They can add in arrows, shake the stave back and forth and more.

And pressing space bar is only needed in Step Up mode, doesn't matter how many keys.

Cool, I'm not the only one who thought this would be similar to Audition. I've only played Vietnam Version though...and there are waaay to many hackers in Vietnam.

Interesting. This gameplay video tells me that the game is more closely resembled to the "Beat Up" mode in Audition where you have to press the arrows in tune with the music. That's good because I like Beat Up lol and I can perf it xD

[edit] Oh so I continued to watch the vid and i saw that there are parts where it's like DDR and you have to press more than one arrow at the same time. That will kill me lol.
