As a lot of you know the game doesn't have widescreen support. YET??? So yea if u play full screen like i do you would be left with chubby characters. However there is a fix I came up with after doing it for another game (megaten) that should work pretty well for now.

1.Go to your Outspark folder and open Dance Groove Online folder.
2. Look for the file: 'option (XML Document)', right click > Open with
3. Click the box that says 'always use program to open this kind of file', then choose wordpad.
4. You should see this (picture below)

-Change the width to: 1280 and the height to 800. (standard widescreen 17")
5. Save it and close it.
6. Go back to your Outspark folder and open SharpLauncher
7. Look for the file: 'gameoption (CFG file)', right click > Open with..
8. Click the box that says 'always use program to open this kind of file', then choose wordpad.

-Change the height to 800.000000 and the width to 1280.000000. Save and close it.
10. Run your launcher.

When the game first opens you should see really chubby characters still. don't worry about it for now. Click options go to high quality click ok so it refreshes game and it should change it and u will see it adapt to widescreen. Then just change back the graphics settings to whatever u wish and thats it.

A link to a video I did in Widescreen to show u what it looks like and that it works http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_UeLZEG9MI&hd=1

Good Luck and happy gaming ^^

What if you play with full screen, but don't get the chubby characters, I don't see this is much as an Issue, but it's a good idea to use if you counter a problem.

No chubby characters on my widescreen, huzzah.

I know that regarding Fiesta, Outspark says it's BIG no no to edit any game file whatsoever. Wonder if this will be permissible until some official widescreen support comes out.

I'm on a 22" widescreen and it doesn't seem to be a big problem for me either. But yeah, might want to check on the file editing rules with a GM. ;]

so your saying they might gripe simply because I know and share how to manually change the Resolution to a size I and a lot of other WS players can play on since they don't support it?

I doubt it and every time you change your resolution in game it alters these files so in fact everyone is constantly changing them. If anything I think this will help them keep players I don't see it as something to be misunderstood

I wouldn't be so sure. Back before Fiesta got a block list button to allow you to removed blocked players you were not allowed to manually delete your block list file despite altering it in game as well. The only way to reset your block list in case of accidental blocking was to go through convoluted methods (which often didn't work). Or if all else failed, reinstall the entire game.

I have no idea what kind of licensing agreement applies to DGO specifically, just saying OS has their obligations. Hope it doesn't get deleted though since you have good intentions, just don't take it too hard if it does.

No no ^^" I won't, but I would just hope that a lot of people see it then in case they decide to do that. Honestly though that would be kind of ridiculous if they did, its like at this point who doesn't know how to set resolution for a game manually? and because it gets put up in written word now your going to get bent out of shape? that would be a joke.

At any rate It is up here for now ^^" and is helping a few people so thats all that matters.
