1. I want someone literate to respond. Yes, I'm new to this game. No, I'm not new to the MMO World.
2. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't post.
3. Is there a guide on this ... poorly designed forum ... that will walk me through the basics of the game since there are nearly 600 people in the beginning of town that wont answer questions. Between the lag and the shops, I cant find anything out.
I've picked Cleric. I've already gotten to level 3 and set my Endurance to (+3) because I understand the basics surrounding the game.
I'm just looking for a solid Beginner's Guide that is actually readable and literate to a 5th Grade level.
Even though it seems like a cheap knock-off of FlyFF and even the shop in this game blows. You can only get things weekly or monthly - which means no one will buy it because it's not permanent.
Who's dumb enough to spend cash on this game if they cant keep the item? Lol.

I'm dumb in that case. I find there are a few things worth investing in at my level.
1) No exp loss for 30 days (priceless at level 45+).
2) Exp bonus for 2 hours (multiple uses).
3) SP/HP 30% boosters (2 hours per use).
Not all of Cash Shop is great but there are plenty of things worth spending money on. I know I will continue to support it. :3

I'm talking clothing items and pets.
Obviously, supportive items in that sense are good for something at higher levels. But in FlyFF, a Pet is 2700 GP to buy in game and then you keep it forever. You can even trade it for like 250mil penya (in game currency).

Trebori is THE MAN when it comes to this game (specially archers).
i dont use the cash shop. the xp boosters and stuff is nice, but cheap and somewhat cheating as they take a lot of the effort out of the game.
ya, it sucks that the items are timed. but you can get some in events from GM's as well.
and go to the site Trebori said, and F10 is your friend as well.
if you have any other questions try asking NICELY in the forums. usually if you ask politley people will answer in a similar manner.
im only a 37 cleric at the moment, but if you have questions feel free to PM me.

1) You're a hypocrite, and seem to be the one to contradict alot. (Don't have anything nice to say, don't say it? Yet you say some not so nice stuff about the game. Sigh. Learn to make sense)
2) You seem to use the word literate a lot. A literate person can find out guides for themselves, with the search button.
3) This is basically a cookie cutter forum idiot. It's like all forums. It's just the exterior is poorly designed. Looking for aesthetics's? Go to a graphics designing forum.
4) Who's dumb enough to spend cash on /a/ game if they can't keep it? I laugh at you actually, and since the term LOL is slang, it seems you're the slightest bit illiterate to have to reduce to that. (Yes, this is sarcasm. I use lol a lot). Anyways, people spend money on tons of poorly graphic designed games. Runescape for instance, has poor graphics but people will still spend money on membership that they cannot keep. Also, you're probably one to judge the games exterior rather than its interior. I suggest working your way through the ages. Start at when the first BBS was released? How about that? And then once you learn the importance of a semi good storyline and a great community, THEN you can come back and complain when you're fairly new to a game.
Katsura-chan says, "Kutubare!" to you.

F10 helps at the beginning for a beginner's guide but I pretty much learned by playing a lot. You could Google a beginner's guide, you'll find something I'm sure.
Trust me, I'm not going against you with this statement, there needs to be more information given to beginners, but it's a beta, so don't expect too much yet.

You might as well delete the game and not waste your memory or your time, the way you're acting. You're not going to have any fun starting out like you have. You don't just burst into a bank holding a gun seeking to deposit some money. I fully agree with Trebori and Katsura. (And why does everyone underestimate everyone in lower grades/ages? I'm an 8th grader, for goodness sakes....)

we underestimate you because *the majority* of you are very immature in game, and here on the forum. most are rude, and inconsiderate. in game they KS, run mobs, and cause problems.
our guild had ONE 14yr old, he left because we wouldnt bring his lv2X fighter to Uraga with us to power level him. he was constantly begging to be brought to higher level areas to gain levels. (leveling is good mind you, but seriously, begging gets old) and a lv28 fighter is worthless in Uraga (usually, unless they're all end), but constantly having to Rez a person is a pain.
NOT all of you. just a lot. you seem cool. so here's a cookie *hands Kizuku a cookie*

3. Is there a guide on this ... poorly designed forum ... that will walk me through the basics of the game since there are nearly 600 people in the beginning of town that wont answer questions. Between the lag and the shops, I cant find anything out. Hit shift+z. That will eliminate all the lag in the shops, but people will only be able to talk to you through whisper. It's what helped me get through the mass confusion that this game is. I suggest traveling up to the second floor and away from the town before removing hide mode (shift+z again). Then, attempt to find a mentor... a warrior with over 400HP, a mage with over 200, etc.. Titles above their name are usually a clear-cut sign of partial intelligence.
Regarding the forum, I would have to say it's a decent design. The problem lies not in the forum, but the players who post the threads. They need to learn about the "Off-topic" area or, better yet, figure out there's a giant portion of the forum known as "Technical Support" where they should put topics like 'why can't China join anymore?' and 'Idea!'. ;)
In any case, here's a very simple guide for Fiesta as a Cleric (up to 19th level):
1-2: Kill stuff in Roumen, NPC them to gain money. Purchase your clothing at the Blacksmith in the second floor.
3a: Purchase Heal from the Skill Master. You should have noticed by now that there is something known as "Production" Skills. Potions make healing potions, stones make "Elrues", Composition refines items, decomposition breaks apart items, and scrolls make buff scrolls. After choosing, purchase these abilities from the Skill Master. You may have to change pages to find your ability. Most skills will cost from 50 copper to 500 copper.
3b: If you wish to travel faster by a mount, you'll need to purchase the Ride Skill from the Skill Master, and a Wooden Horse from the Item Merchant. Also, you will need to purchase Flotation Disks from the Item Merchant to use your horse. In total, this will cost a litte bit more than 1 silver.
3c: In the event you need to mine ore for a quest, purchase a Pickaxe from the Item Merchant and the Mine Skill from the Skill Master. In total, this will cost around 1 silver.
3-7: Use "M" to see the minimap. This will let you know where each teleporter leads. Your first quests should send you into the two teleporters in the top area of the minimap. Continue killing and NPCing your goods.
6: (Note) At this level and beyond, you are now permitted to release all your pent-up anger by using /s to shout at everyone in the current area.
8-10: The same old deal. Soon, you'll notice "King Slime's CounterAttack [A] recruit has begun". To get into one of these "Kingdom Quests", you must click on the Hourglass symbol in the top right of the screen. Then, click on "My List" and scroll all the way to the bottom. Convert your time into 24:00, and learn when the next recruitment begins. If it starts within a few minutes, click on it and wait for the message to appear for it in the bottom right. Quickly hit "participate", and you will enter the Kingdom Quest.
(A KQ is a mash-fest where you'll spend time healing people, gaining no money but good EXP, having one player fight the boss at the end of the KQ while you continually heal him. If you win, you get a treasure chest which gives valuable items when opened)
*ahem* I could go on, but at around this level you begin to get your bearings on this game and no longer really need a guide.
Even though it seems like a cheap knock-off of FlyFF and even the shop in this game blows. knock-off a FlyFF? I thought it was a knock-off of WoW when I was playing it.
You can only get things weekly or monthly - which means no one will buy it because it's not permanent. Who's dumb enough to spend cash on this game if they cant keep the item? Lol. Your parents were. I'm serious! Who do you think bought you batteries for your Gameboy Advance? For some silly game that had no relevence to the real world that you'd probably never play again for the rest of your life?
Value is the key word here. People place value on things, even things that don't last forever.

Ok, so you think the forums are bad, the game sucks, blah blah blah blah blah. Sorry, but thats all I hear. If you dislike the forums go try the ones on runescape..... If you think this is a rip off of Flyff.....omg do people play that game? Anyway, if you like that better feel free to play that instead:p Personaly this forum is pretty much standard....mostly like every other forum I've ever been on based on this code...of which there are literally millions. At least they have a forum...the for-mentioned crummy game of all time runescape has a forum you can only post 400 characters in including spaces, has no organization at all and is ruled by stupid player mods who rampage all over the place spreading failure in their wide wake....I pretty much count my blessings to have found a decent "FREE" game with an actual forum with actual people that isn't controlled by the ghestapo or censored worse then a U.S. UFO document.

It seems I hit a sensitive nerve with the forum groupies and trolls.
And whoever the moron was that said LOL is a slang - it's an acronym. A slang is informal usage. IE - Whud'up dawg. An acronym is typically the beginning letter of a series of words that mean something. IE - LOL ( Laugh Out Loud )
Don't be a tool.
And that same person - if using 'literate' twice in a post in your mind is equal to "a lot" -- then you should head back to school, kiddo. ;D
To the rest of you whom bypassed my cynicism and answered my questions; it was greatly appreciated. Thank you for your forum-atic hospitality.
And to the rest of you who attempted to "bag on me" ( This is slang! Lololol. ) or one-up me on a frickin' internet forum ...? Geez.
Get a life. Seriously.
I work two jobs. I test out different games and then relay information back to my friends and people on my forum on my free time. And since this is a Beta run, I thought it'd be fun to check it out and see. Same with FlyFF, WolfTeam, and several other games I'm just goofin' ( OMGSLANG ) around in.

Right...
So you like to surf forums that have 309284 rooms I bet.
Of course! Only someone with that stubborn could ever only be TRULY happy. Wow. And so you think there isn't any variety at all? You must be pretty hard in the skull to think that. I hope you get your eyes checked. This is a fairly well executed forum. It's not like it's the best thing around, but it suffices for more than "Amateur".

Also, you did not say "LOL", because yes. That would be correct for LOL to be an Acronym. You, however, said "lol". Thus, unless they are capitalized, grammatically it isn't an acronym.

Lol.
Whoa, whoa, slow down! You're ranting yourself.
If you search, you shall recieve. I'm not going to feed people with attitude issues.
As for shop items, you're mistaken.
FlyFF makes profit more on the disposable items.
As for the permanent items, they're highly priced, and FlyFF is easy to quit.
No more relating this game to Flyff, because they are in fact quite different.

Oh? You're implying that I have a silver spoon wedged in my mouth, and was grown up with internet handed to me? LMAO! I just LOVE how judgmental you are. You, being all "I'm tuff" and all, should know that if something isn't handed to YOU, then it is possible for others not to be handed everything either. Yes, it was a little harsh at what I said, because my foster sister is in that pickle right now, but I did it it to tick you off somewhat -- And I see it worked ^^.
My work has succeeded; you got pissed off at the slightest. Oh, but you're probably going to say how you weren't and that you were just being opinionated or something dumb like that.

Tsk tsk, hypocrite, hypocrite. Try to catch your own mistakes? You've already made some, I've pointed them out, yet you still make them? Hmm I wonder. I bet everything I said is going to have a coincidental objection to it, though. So I guess I won't bother replying, unless you apologize and give a reasonable re-evaluation of your first post. Huh, I didn't see that coming. These posts must have riled him or something.
Well, the mini-guide's in the second page. That's really all he asked for, so yeah. If you think there's something he "needs" though, uhh, feel free to continue.

Yus. It is fairly different, but the concepts are still closely similar.
;D
And yeah, Flyff gets old - really fast. The economy is so bad, it's not even worth playing. Somethin' like 70 million for a weapon is ridiculous.
x.x
My brother showed me Flyff and I have been playing it for a few days.
The exp difference in levels is insane, and is amazingly boring as heck.

I am going to pretend you asked nicely and didn't come in here being a total jerk and showing your a$$.( But, I am just pretending)
First off the "search" feature is your friend. USE IT!
Second, press "f10" in game and read the basic tutorial.
Third, try this site:
http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
Try being less rude next time, It will work much better that way :)
The OP has a point. A major one. And he wasn't rude at all. There is a difference between being honest and to the point and crass rudeness.
Your post was an example of the latter.
The search function is NOT AT ALL "your friend," when it tells you that your search words aren't long enough. The query is suppose to be at least four letters long, yet when I type in (for example) Level 20, it tells me that my search term (20) is too short.
Excuse me? Why isn't it reading the word before 20 (level)? Of course, I type in "twenty" next, no results. So, figuring it's only reading the second half of the "Level 20" search, I type in "20 Level" and this time it doesn't focus on the second term, it again says "20 is not long enough." I can't find a post in regard to the level 20 shift and I tried several other search terms.
Please, crucify me for being forthwith and honest-errrrr I mean, "rude."
Carry on.

which brings up the whole ask politely and you'll have your answer.
and if you type in Level 20 thats a bit vague. type that into google and see what you get. im sure you'll find thousands because its to broad.
maby, um, level 20 upgrade quest? level 20 job change? because i think thats what your referring to. as a bonus you can even put in the class because that might make a difference.
and yes, Trebori might have been a bit rude, but so was the origional post. like its been said before, if he had bothered asking politely he would have been answered right away, in a nice fashion. but he didnt. he was rude and slandered the forum, which might not be perfect but its better than a lot of them.

You obviously didn't read my post. I said I tried other terms.
As far as "which brings up the whole ask politely and you'll have your answer,"
I never asked anyone anything, rudely nor otherwise. When I feel I have to ask someone, I will.

yup, you gave great examples of what you tried to search. i gave you other options to search since your post focused on ONE search in different wording.
you were complaining, i give you other ideas, as well as saying you can always ask. its not my fault or problem if you wont ask people for help.
i respect you wanting to do it for yourself, but if you have a problem or cant find something, wouldnt you usually ask someone at that point?
or maby thats just my common sense which doesnt seem to be to common anymore.
*shrug* whatever, im done with this thread.

I'm talking clothing items and pets.
Obviously, supportive items in that sense are good for something at higher levels. But in FlyFF, a Pet is 2700 GP to buy in game and then you keep it forever. You can even trade it for like 250mil penya (in game currency).
If you didnt notice the prices for the cash shop money differs GREATLY from the prices on flyff 20 bucks gets you a good years worth or close to it with the times appearal.. as in flyff 20 bucks wont get you the full appearal nor a pet nor anything really useful. So yea it may seem "dumb" to have them timed but look at the price differences and such.. compare and contrast dont get all pissy over a little detail unless you research it fully

Dumb ***, I just used the level 20 , 20 level thing as an example of how it was saying my term needed to be more than 4 characters long. level 20 is SEVEN characters long.
I searched with other terms and found what I need. Try a little less self rightous obstinancy and pay attention.
Actually, don't. I'm done with you.

Flyff can be really fun, but you have to be playing with friends. We have a guild and roll with about ... 4-8 people usually and we're all on Skype. So it's just frickin' hysterical.
Like newbs running up and screaming HEAL or BUFF PLZ and then you turn and proceed to explain to them that you don't speak English. And they're dumb enough to leave...

Do you know anything about PHP? At all? Usually, you'll get every post that has an L in it, if you're looking up Level.
And we're talking about the forums -- not Google?

not sure if you still need guides to the game... but there are three websites i go to for information aside from outspark's main page
www.fiestaonlinehq.com
www.fiestafan.com
fiesta.gamengame.com
as for guides in the forum, you can search for guides on the classes in their respective forum, there is a thread that sums up everything (although, it isnt completed yet: http://www.outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20333)
offtopic: the search function is frustrating at times... all your entries (separated by a space) must be at least four (4) characters long. sometimes, i refrain myself from making a new thread and ask a question in fear that the replies i get back would be: use the search button....

well, judging by the flaming of the origanal poster..
id say its a safe bet not to sak for anything, and do it myself.
as for the rudeness, did it ever occur to anyone, that this person
may have gone thru several other forums trying nicely, and go no where?
ive posted on forums before kindly and politely and when i do.. the impossibly stupidest post after mine gets replies and the question answered.
with a title like ' OMFG!!! I NED HLP PLZZZ!!! ' and it makes me rather upset.
i bet thi origanal poster gave up on polite since people seem to respond to negative, or even insulting posts, like moths to a flame.
my simple question is this... how do you change the eye color, or expression of the characters at character creation?
thanks and have a great day... ' unless you stel my mobs.. then i will go into a murderous rampage killing--.. ' have a nice day * smile * eh.. * hides knife *

Those are said to be coming after they get the other bugs worked out. Right now your options are limited until they get everything else in order.

If you didn't want to hear more, you wouldn't have posted.
And who -- exactly are you to demand or command anything over the internet, little kid? Lol.

Lol. Get real.
Ohohohoho! What a sharp tongue you have.
If I had that bad of grammar I would shoot myself. Please don't degrade me to that.
I think you're having too much fun with this. I'm only replying because I want to hear your "witty" sense of humor.
Lol. Get real.
I am real, thanks. Do I look like a bot to you? :D

If you are free to roam around and demand what you want, don't you think I have that right too?
Little kid? Ha. Trying to humor yourself? I think you need to get real. Stop calling people kids just because you think you have the authority to. And no, you didn't hit a nerve. Kizuku is right. Don't underestimate people who are younger than you. You might have been "honest" in your first post, but now you are definately rude. :)

Fond memories of FlyFF?
You seem nice here (except being mean to noobs). Eventhough the dumb ones are are annoying.
I feel like I just contradicted myself. Weird.
Maybe I was wrong about you.
If you have a love for FlyFF, then you might understand the way we feel about Fiesta. If someone did the exact same thing you did here on the FlyFF forums, wouldn't you reply the way we did? I think I'm being rational here...
