ok i have checked my email and my junk mail and my spam mail and i have not got anything yet. maybe i am not recognizing the subject title on it or something, what does the email read as. i have even resent it several times. i really want to play this game. is there any other way to get into it. like an invite or something.

I don't really understand your topic, but I think if you're waiting for a invite to play SoS, it's chosen randomly and it can be awhile if ever before you get a invite.

im just trying to figure out how long it takes to get the email that u need to verify your email address and account. i have been waitin for a few days now and still nothing.

Faith are you sure you are checking the same email address? It should not have taken more than a couple hours at most.

I have a problem along those same lines but of a different nature. I couldn't find the original email in order to verify my account so I sent it a second time. But when I went to click on the verification link, it said that verification could only happen once due to security reasons and simply told me to just log in instead. Well thats all fine and dandy. I can log in and read and post in the forums, but when I go to try to download the game client, it says that I can't download because I haven't verified my account yet. How do I get out of this catch 22????

EDIT: Nevermind...the problem corrected itself. I decided to go back and try the verification link in my email one more time and this time it allowed me to finish the verification process...Downloading SOS as I type this. YAY! :D

If you mean an invite, there sent out at complete random. And i dont think there being sent out anymore.
Just wait til Open Beta!

Is there an echo in here?? Dude, please don't quote my post just because you are too lazy to type out a description of your own problem. :mad: If you are gonna quote me, then try actually using the QUOTE button. :rolleyes:

Even if it WAS similar to mine, you could have just said "Hey, I got the same thing happening to me" instead of doing a lame copy and paste. Anyone can plainly see that your post above is the exact same as mine word for word in the first 2 sentences.

Oh and to answer Scotty's question...I never recieved any kind of invite from anyone that I know of. I just registered with the site and I was allowed to download the client once I was finally able to use the verification link in my email.

I guess at some point they allowed anyone in with or without an invitation so as to increase the number of active beta testers. However, the server has been shut down for a month or so and is being changed over to Open Beta once it is back up and running

Hmmm...it's like some online games - it takes about 1 ~ 2 days for the e-mail to come. Let's just wait and see. Btw, if the e-mail doesn't come the next day or so on, just lick the "verify e-mail" button somewhere on the top of the page in the edit section. But if it still doesn't come, it's the company's fault.

he probally just couldnt download becuase the game was in closed beta.

the game is down for now however
