About Renascence:
Renascence was founded on November 11, 2008 [11.11.2008] and started as [a kind of random] merge of two guilds: The_Famous and Descendants. Hence why we are Renascence: A new life, or a rebirth.

But now we're an epic guild full of friends, and some lamers, from The_Famous, Descendants, SicKneSs, _Infinity_, Revenge and Ithilien.

Guild Requirements:
There are no specific requirements to get into Renascence, but recently we've been full; So we'd like all prospective people that want to join to be at least 90; the addition of the new instance and constant formation of garg parties makes leveling a lot easier than what it once was x__x, If you know one of our members who can vouch for you, you're welcome to join us and have a greater chance of being able to join Renascence. If you don't know anyone, well, you can come anyway and we'll see if we like you. :] We like to keep it simple.


Guild Guidelines:

1. Be awesome
2. Follow the Outspark ToS
3. No kill stealing, leeching KQs, being rude, etc.
4. Keep the language in and out of Guild chat appropriate.
5. Don't beg for money, plvls, items, etc.
6. Don't bring drama into the guild, Apoline is full of it already D:
7. Have a good sense of humor, we're a fun guild, promise :B
9. Keep PVP issues in PVP. You die, get over it, you're in PVP.

Guild War

Renascence is NON warring for the time being.
Just need to get our feet back on the ground after our recent addition of new members and help people get to 100. This allows us to grind in peace and not worry about being spam warred while raiding :]

We are always up for an occasional war, but it is polite to ask if we're up for one or to arrange one with us before hand; because sometimes getting in that level is more important.

Being Rena we get warred. A lot. So if you're not prepared for a war constantly or do not like being warred, don't join, yes that's blunt, but its the truth. If we like you, or its a scheduled war you're less likely to be shop or AFK killed during a war. Such things are not condoned by the admins or GMs of Rena, but accidents do happen and people do have their own minds and are accountable for their own actions, and accidents do happen. If you're shop killed or AFK killed or whatever during a guild war with Rena, we apologize; but this is a game, don't take it so seriously, kay? Kay. Again, blunt, but I guess that's the type of person I [Aeyr] am :] <3


Want to war? PM one of Admins or GMs and you'll get us at our best, and most fun.
Scheduled wars > Spontaneous wars, but we all know it never happens that way. Damn.

Note to all admins or those curious:
In order to DECLARE a war from Renascence's end at least 75% of the admins MUST agree to declare. If that number cannot be reached, there will be no war. If you declare a war anyway your admin will be pulled until the GMs can talk about the situation and come to an agreement as to how to deal with that person/ persons.

No wars will be declared for:
1. Personal reasons
2. Revenge
3. the purpose of AFK killing another guild
4. the use of killing lower level people

Academy

Academy Master: Passed around o:

The Renascence academy is available to anyone under level 60 to learn how to enjoy the game to its fullest and meet some awesome higher level players :]

Here are Renascence we use a rolling academy. This means that we kick players who are offline or unactive to able anyone that wants to join the chance to join. If you are kicked, its nothing personal, you are free to join again when you log back in :]

The academy is not about the rewards. Yes they are there, and they are probably the best in the server. It is about lower levels being able to meet new people and to enhance the game play for you, and in some cases, have a preview of what their future guild will be like.

*Because you're in the Renascence academy doesn't mean you're guaranteed a spot in the guild itself. If we feel that you do not know how to play your class well enough or if we do not like the attitude you take, we have the choice of not admitting you into the guild. So you can a. remain in the academy for further time, or b. say goodbye and go elsewhere.

Academy rules:
Follow all the rules listed above for guild members, and we stress no begging. If someone in the guild is able to help you, they will, but if they can't then please don't take any offense. It is not because we don't like you, it is because we can't at that time.
If anything specific comes up, it will be added.

Contrary to popular belief I do purge signature image violations and give warnings regarding them based on severity(including and up to sending a copy to a CSR afterwards with an enclosed copy of the signature in question). I don't see everything though, and I generally check the last 50 posts for anyone who has been recently moderated(in thread or post form) for any other activity that was missed in another posting area.

If there is a signature or other type of violation you would like to report that I may have missed or otherwise overlooked(as I will be the first to admit I do miss some things), then by all means feel free to PM me. What I miss is not a valid reason to say posting something inappropriate by virtue of that is right to post on these forums.

We have rules, and as I said, I've been lenient for a while. I gave an inch and a mile was taken. I'm not all that inclined right now to give an inch regarding anything that has come up frequently on the forums lately or been ignored, despite my repeated requests.

We can also guarantee that if any material is posted that is deemed inappropriate then it will be immediately removed. At the very least we should be given a second chance after developing a thread with over 300 pages and almost 30,000 views that was closed for one mistake that could have been rectified from the outset. If you do decide to be generous enough to re-open our thread, and then if in your honest opinion we violate the forums again without any attempts to remedy such transgression, you will be justified in closing it permanently. That in my humble opinion will seem a lot more equitable.

Actually I'm well aware that at least two of the users who did post questionable content have been sent a PM regarding this in the past. They knowingly posted it, and may still continue to do so. Similarly, it was not based on a single posting at all. I put a warning in thread that is still visible on my first find.

After I found the second it at that point became clear to me that without sifting through a hundred or so pages that I would undoubtedly find more, or that my warning would most likely be ignored(this also ties into the fact that I know of those who are willingly posting in such a way, knowing better).

I'm not saying I won't re-think my stance on it. I may very well, but that depends whether or not I feel I can trust every user engaging in the thread to follow completely the Forum Rules. At this point in time you would be very hard pressed to convince me of this being possible as actions right now will speak louder than words.

For what it's worth though if you would like to debate the matter further(and without 'restraint'), feel free to PM me. I'll discuss it all day with you. I don't mind in the least bit.

Edit: As far as your proposition being equitable, I think you're only looking at it to be fair to your guild. It's not fair to other users I moderate to open one thread regardless of criteria for re-opening it short of them being willing to entirely remove their harassing or otherwise rule-breaking, but even then they could summarize better in a new thread.

It's also not fair to my 'job' to re-open a thread where people openly abused the forum rules with inappropriate content. I'm not supposed to allow people to get away these kinds of things, and before I was giving a mere slap on the wrist, and that didn't work. If I can't be nice about it then I have to be assertive about it.

That thread was 8 months of my guild and not all of it was inappropriate or containing 'funny pictures' and given a second chance it would remain that way because as a GM of guild and the originator of the thread they better damn well listen to me or there's another separate issue they'll have >__>

Actually I don't think that kid is creepy enough, I got creepier when I was like 11 year old. I practice my don't mess with me or die look in mirror and got a good imitation of wild wolf. At least that kid is smiling, mine is a toothy grin. It is not easy for a poor kid in a elite school where everybody looks down on your financial situation including the teachers. ^,..,^
