Hi. </3

I wanted to try DGO, but I have yet to have been able to play. Both DGO and the launcer are exceptions on my firewall, but I still get the "underlying connection closed" message after a long "checking launcher version." If you try to login anyway, It says:

"Microsoft .NET Framework

Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error ocurred on a receive.

v Details Continue Quit"

Details:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I have the same thing, I don't know what to do

I suggest checking the Microsoft website for a download to upgrade/repair your Microsoft .NET Framework. It should be the version 1.1 Service Pack 1.

I tried. It said it wasn't a valid Windows installer?

Are you on Vista or XP? And do you have Service Pack 2 installed?

I have XP. I don't know anything about .NET framework, or how to find out. :\

Sorry, I have no idea if Windows 7 is even compatible with DGO... o.o

I have XP too though. Go look in your My Computer > Add/Remove Programs. See if you have the Windows Service Pack 2 installed. Seems a lot of problems are caused by that.

^ Yes, I do have it installed. Do I uninstall it and install 1?

No, you should have Service Pack 2.

It probably is a problem with your .NET Framework then... Let me try and search something up for you.

Check in your Programs file. Make sure you have all these:

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0

I think the error is occurring because the program is doing something it's not supposed to and Windows is detecting that. Have you tried reinstalling the game at all?

I have them all except 3.0
