What's better - Potions or stones?

Stones are just standard for healing.
Potions have less cool down, they are like back up stones.

Alchemy skills, good combonations would be.

Well yeah, stones are usually used for grinding, but if your stone is on cool down and your running low on HP, you can use potions as back up stones.

Yeah, this is generally what is done but if you have a little spare dosh (:D) Go down to the fiesta store and you can buy special sparkcash potions. These automatically heal you to full hp and use only the amount needed when you press the hotkey, but the have a limit to how much you they can heal. You can get a 100k hp one for less then 1500 sc. Don't use these for pvp unless your in abyss and they are just attacking for thes sake of it and you don't want to lose exp, otherwise people will flame you for 'sc potting'. Otherwise they are great. Buying ordinary potions works almost as well though, and you don't have to use real money.

potions and stones are a good start off alchemy. For any alts you make, I'd go comp and decomp. useful for quests where you need mats

Usually it's better to use stones when grinding, because they are much cheaper than potions. They're also in unlimited supply (since you can just go to an NPC to restone, you can't always count on finding a potion vendor).

Stones can also be used while casting a skill, potions can't. (Mages know all about this.)

Potions are good for emergency healing if your stones are on cooldown, or if you've run out of stones.

I would avoid using the SC potions. They do make you basically invincible, but they are expensive and get used up fast. Most of the time, regular stones and potions are more than enough to keep you alive.

For alchemy, they're all useful (except comp which only gets used at the highest levels). Scrolls and Decomp is an excellent skill combo to have on a character. If you are really interested in production, though, you should work on all 5 skills (use other characters on your account to learn the skills your main character didn't).

Same. Before I wanna try and help out, I wanna know what they're asking. Are you asking if HP/SP potions are better than HP/SP stones? In terms of healing and usibility. Or are you asking if it would be better to have Potion Making or Stone Making as your production skills?
