I'm going to have to agree with you. I have perused EVERY thread in the forum about my daughters issue of the inability to log in, and found it is because Admin picks and chooses at random who gets to play.

All 3 accounts can log into the site fine, but only ONE can play SoS.

Admins must give enough information to all players

Admins must decide whether or not this project is important to them. Running it in the manner they are currently running it will only serve to make people leave in dissatisfaction and refuse any future products knowing this is how they conduct business.

They should fix the issues they are currently having, and ask questions about other bugs.

And listen to what their registrants are complaining about.

They will most likely fix the bugs during the transition of CB>OB, and frankly, if you feel they are doing a terrible job - you havn't played other Closed BETA's. Nostale? The game had no mention of staff, they didnt even announce the BETA the servers justopened randomly. Trickster Online? Didn't see one GM. Buggy, hackers everywhere.

Just a few examples. I feel there are a few kinks outspark need to work on, but they are on the right track for sure. They are new publishers remember so, take it easier on them.

Still learning the ropes :)

Forgive me for asking, as I am jumping into this conversation a little late, but what avenues have you pursued?

Have you tried:

Other than that, I am not really sure. Being based in Seoul, Korea my concern is a language barrier and a lack of communication with American staff.

Having a single IP address, is it that the server thinks you are opening only a single client, allowing one person to log on but not others? Is there a way you can assign a different IP address to the different computers on your home network? That may help. I wish I had the technical experitiese to help you on that one... maybe someone else in these threads?

Good luck.

I just wish BOTH of them could play together, instead of only one at a time.

I have not PMed anyone, I feel I am not the only one with the issue at hand, and should not directly bother Admin. I feel he should wish to make things better for his community.

I have had my father-in-law also try her account, he is a completely different STATE, and cannot log in. It is not an IP issue as I had first assumed.

I am a System Analyst, Database Administrator and a PC techie for the company I work for. I know my way around a PC, and it has nothing to do with my network, nor my drivers. It is an issue on THIER end.

Thank you for your ideas however.

Heh - well so much for //my// technical advice! LOL

Ok, that seriously sucks. Has anyone received the 'this is a closed beta' message disallowing them from downloading the client? It sounds like you and your kids have the client installed - but you can only open one client window at a time, even on different computers or can you open multiple clients on multiple computers but only one will allow you to log on? Either way, sounds odd to me.

Sometimes PMing helps - not spamming per se, but a simple message to those who MAY be able to get an asnwer, if not a resolution. No ghurantee tho.

Again, good luck.

Again, good luck.As I said, from what I understand currently, it is simply that my son got an admin invite to play...and even though HE invited his sister from HIS account, the Admin did not invite her account and thus she is unable to play.

Or maybe it is because the invite was sent from the same IP and negated itself...which is also a possibility. I am currently not able to test out this theory however.

Your technical advice was VERY well written. Good job!

Why are you complaining then? This is CLOSED BETA. It doesnt matter if I invite 200 people, its only getting them to come join the SITE/FORUMS. You dont get to play enless your invited by an ADMIN/GM

If you have kid's old enough to play this game, then perhaps you should be able to form a basic understanding of logic involving this issue. It's sad that you cannot, and I can only hope that your logic regarding raising your children is a LOT better, otherwise, they might turn out like you. LOL

If he does have children, his parents should be shots for allowing the offspring of their first cousin love affair to breed.

Acid, Siblings RARELY wish to do things together. As a parent, you relish the moments when they play nice with one another. YES, they DO comprehend the fact of the closed beta and the invites. I would like to see them both allowed in to play along and help one another within the game. It is one of the few things they do well without constant fighting or bickering.

*cough* LOLIRLI abhor people who try to be e-thugs. You know the type, geeky little scaredy cats in real life, so they have to act big and tough online. But would run away crying like a schoolgirl in pigtails if you said BOO to them.

They try to make others look stupid, or try to embarass others online because if they don't, everyone will see what a true loser they are.

It's people like him that make me sick my children share the same internet with him.

I know this is off-topc and I'll keep this to my final post on this subject, but I have to agree with you. As an adult playing this game and talking on these forums I encounter quite a few well-spoken individuals I am actually shocked to discover are in their mid-teens. Then come the few that can very well be in their 20's that I could swear were twelve.

A forum, even a game forum, is a community where people try to connect, ask for and give help/advice and just try to have a good time. I don't see the need for inflammatory behavior, myself, but maybe I left that behind when I left the Army.

Ok, enough of that - back on subject. You say you have a resolution?

The biggest problem is that no Admins/Gms are giving any answers if closed beta sign ups are closed or when open beta will start.

Randomly choosing who gets to enter the closed beta was and is the best choice for determining who gets in. The problem is they are not telling how you could get added to the list for closed beta to be invited or if it is still possible to do so.

I found out about this game from mmosite.com which like every other mmo info site (fourteen in total that I have checked) has this game listed as open and free to play right now. Not closed beta play by invite only.

are all 3 on different computers or 3 accounts on one computer?I have tried each account on all three computers, and also have tried the accounts on computers not located in my home (as in another state). Only one account works.

After attempting each account, I then cleared the cookies, cache and history out of each browser I attempted log-in with. I attempted log-in on FireFox's Gran Paradiso, original FireFox, Internet Explorer...both 6 and 7, Opera, and Netscape.

Acidic, grow up and move out of your mother's basement. You're acting like a 2 year old throwing a temper tantrum after being told NO he couldn't have the M & M's at the candy counter.

Those 2 accounts wont EVER work untill invite'd by a GM. They werent invited by them, so regardless if you live in California, Alaska, New York, or Russia, they wont work. No amount of Cookie clearing or Cache clearing will allow you to play with account's that dont have invites.

your wrong, the general idea behind the marketnig promotion "Cant keep a secret invite a friend to the world of SoS" is supposed to allow you to invite YOUR friends and give them access to a CBT game. what the guy is trying to get at is why isnt it working as intended to. learn to read the forums before you make remarks that arent even correct. Regardless GMs/CS are scarce here and your best bet is to PM either or of them. many have made remarks not to feel shy about bringing legit problems to there door step. (not in the exact manner of words but u get the hint) anyway IP shouldnt be the cause of the problem as u already figured out. If you give me your e-mail I will be more then glad to resend an invite to your children (u may need to recreate a new e-mail addy but it should work)
