Limiting the music choise this much is not good in my opinion, even though it was fun to make a video that didnt have rock in it for once.

You also have to realize that limiting the music choise will also put a limit on the creativity people have while making their video. Chances are high all of the videos will look almost the same.

Lets not mention i'm one of those types that gets ideas while listening to the lyrics, but it won't work if i'm not into it. Whether i decide to do the video or not is up to me and usually it's because i don't have time for everything. I still have the ideas in my mind though.

I love the idea of the event... but hip hop/R&B is not my type of music, so i'm suggesting that outspark from partnerships with all different styles of music, so that the community can have a better variety of music and styles.

They CAN, and most definately WILL, demand that postage is paid, as the winner is outside of America. But to be honest, who wants a pants album and another iPod anyway?

Well hey, I mean, Outspark is obviously creating partnerships with big time artists. That could be very helpful in the upcoming future. It just means that Outspark is actually trying to get out to the world to attract more gamers.

Especially since nearly everyone is always following someone.
So what if a certain person hears about T-pain creating a partnership with Outspark, they're going to be like.. "Whoa.. If T-pain's down with it, then maybe I should be too!"
Thus attracting one gamer, which could lead onwards and onwards.

As for Tila.. Well.. I don't know what to say about that. :o

i don't really think t-pain(some say t-paint XD) is doing it for money.At least I think so.
T-pain might not really be that famous but some of his work is.There's this song called 'low' and t-pain sung it or made the music(i don't really know =)) but it's quite well known.I've heard it in a lot of movies tho i can remember only one at the moment(step up 2).I never really noticed it before but t-pain's 'songs' have a lot of curses(you'll get banned if you shout out the 'song' in eldy...)
I did'nt really like it but i still might participate for the SC and maybe ill get that ipod too(hopefully)

fun event idea....but I've never heard of this guy, i listened to some of his songs in preparation to make a video...but after hearing his lyrics..I've given up, the cursing the bad rhythm, there is nothing i can do with this :( pick a better and CLEANER artist next time please...

lol I get that people will have to pay. I'm just saying videomakers are limited to what they can do for a music video with only a handful of dance moves available. So once the premium dance moves are released it can offer a little more variety in the future contests.

i think the 'patnership' is a great idea..and i can honestly see how everyone isnt pleased with OS choice of their 1st music artist.

Is T-Pain the best R&B/HIP-HOP has to offer? NO! but,was it an artist who had the time or effort to lend his name,song,likeness,etc to an online game? apparently so.

Ive also noticed while reading through the threads,everyone is trashing OS choice. Thats all fine and dandy. And im all for having different,if not all genres represented in a 'partnership'. Whether its rock,country,jazz,techno,classical,etc. This is a test run for OS, give them and whatever artist they choose a chance. Not all artist you or I may like,may be available to lend their name, song,etc. There are other factors one must consider when and how an artist is chosen. Some artists are all about money. and if their not making a profit off of their name,song,likeness being used,then that artist usually or his mgr. or p.r. person wants nothing to do with the project. And in some cases,(which i think in T-Pain's case) he had time,didnt really want a profit and the way he/his mgr/p.r./ may have figured,new album-mmorpg,lots of ppl. to hear about it,maybe theyll go and buy it=free publicity,etc.. (yes he may be getting ur purchase,but what i meant is that OS may not be paying him directly)

So yes,maybe ur marylon manson,kid rock,tool,3Oh!3,dj tiesto,slipknot,darude,kerri hilson, or whoever ur favorite artist/genre may/ can/and im sure will be a 'partnered' artist...

I personally think we should be a little more on the forgiving side when it comes to OS and WHOMEVER they choose. Because, whats gonna happen when your favorite artist/genre/song is 'partnered'? everyones gonna trash it too?... if you/I/we all show a little humility and accept/enjoy the fact that OS is branching out to the world/community/celebrities(no matter how big or small they may be) at least there doing sumthing to try and make this game,(which we all enjoy) sumwhat better. =P
