Graphics issue

Is there a way that I can fix the graphics? When I play it's all boxy and looks sorta shiny. I can't see any faces or hardly any other details. My husband plays too and I looked on his computer and his looks so nice. I know my graphics card is fine because mine is better then his and his looks and works fine. =P Is there something I can do? I already tried lowering the graphic settings in the game itself. Is there a patch or something?

all the patches update automaticly. um...are you running vista? there are some known problems with vista (not sure if this is one of them though...)
