In Game leaders?

it'd be kinda cool if there were a few select players who were game leaders... kinda like mini-GMs, minus the angraminyu, spawning powers... uh, whatever else that makes a GM a GM. pretty much just give these people a special title after they show that they are responsible and respectable in-game :D what do chu think? o.o

like, they'd help newbies and give legitimate answers for in-game questions... idk, to help out. i know there are people who already do this, but what about people who are recognized for this?

Outspark did have a GL program -- but it sort of faded in the background. It was lightly used through Fiesta at one point earlier this year. But I do think that because there was a huge possibility of power abuse that it was simply just forgotten or thrown out. I can't really remember the exact reason for it as I did stumble across a thread about GLs in the Fiesta section. :x

I would be all for it as SOS has no GM interaction.. Well, At least Adeline server gets no love. >:/ The past couple of nights that I've been on Marian, they've gotten random monster spawns -and- candy. There might have been a random spawn last night on Adeline, cos my shop was shop when I got back from afk, but still >_>.. Share the love for all. Q_Q

But anyway, I would love for GLs to become part of this game.. but I don't think it'll happen due to what I wrote above about the possibility of power abuse. >/

yeah power abuse would definitely be an issue if they actually gave game-altering power...
idk it's not a fully developed idea in my mind atm cause i'm uhm out of it, but let's hear some more input :D

you know how we have community leaders here on the forums? why can't we have community leaders in-game?
for example, when they see something inappropriate, they can temporarily jail someone. they have to provide legit reasons for said jailing, otherwise their privileges are revoked.

idk. it's an idea. i'm depending on the community to develop it XD

The program was already developed and tried on Fiesta. But unfortunately, the program was not kept around. I don't think Outspark has plans to bring it back =/..

This has been suggested before, but frankly I don't see it as a good idea. The game community is already fragmented into groups. Adding an officially recognised group is probably going to alienate some people. And considering how disrespectful many of the players are to gm's, how do you think they will act to people they see as other players, who were singled out over them? And how long do you think the gl's will put up with the badgering, anti-outspark rants, ect. before they just quit the game? Also, the issue of abuse of power is very valid.

To awsner ur question at this thread about the cause of why the GL program was removed for good in Fiesta, it's because the GL that was in Fiesta earlier have abused of their powers. That's why the program has be removed.

Yea I don't think I would take a position like that if they asked me, especially if it wasn't a paying position. I wouldn't be able to enjoy playing anymore. I don't want to hear everyone's gripes for free. :<

I gotta agree with Aggie.

I mean it'd be nice to have some more higher up interaction, whether it be with gms, or fake player gms, but the whole having to hear people gripe and all that jazz is just really... No. :/

Not to mention of course the power abuse. I really don't see it happening.
