clearly, the community has decided they don't want actual answers to questions in their threads if it's not the answer they wanted to hear... and it's the end of the world for sarcasm to appear in threads now, or for people to be geuininely helpful.

so to that end, i won't be publicly posting on any forum posts anymore.
if you actually wish to ask questions (and those that know me are aware that i do actually have answers for things, and don't just assume things), then you can continue to consult bobbipedia ingame and i will be happy to assist, or you can direct your questions to my forum pm box.

this also includes the repetitive answering of the same question over and over again, and the pre-emptive providing of information when i know damn well there's gonna be an influx of new threads created

such is the price of trying to be a helpful community member, those that like to complain about everything they see just make life unbearable for them, and that's why there are so few of them on the forums

by no means a quitting thread, so i didnt' break any rules... just letting people who actually value my help and input know how to contact me in the future

and yes, i do have MSN

If you're unhappy about my moderation, that's fine. However by openly admitting that you were trolling, that's breaking the rules. What you posted was not informative although, despite the overly sarcastic tone I felt you had good intentions with the thread. Good intentions vs. admitting otherwise though are two very different things, and I assure you that the second happened.

Generally speaking, despite you having posted helpful information before, that doesn't set aside the fact that admitting to breaking a rule in a post means I have to step in, heaven forbid the others who got moderated in that same thread without needing to admit up to it for me to see the violation.

If you feel I unjustly moderated you and others in that thread, including what was sent via PM, I'll happily forward the information to a CSR or our other resident Lead Community Leader, Shadowic2 for further review.

ironically, it wasn't you
i was able to read the post the other person made before you deleted it
and it's not the first one i'd read
i'm frankly just a little sick of tired of fighting a losing battle and maybe i should just stop being helpful and just be selfish like everyone else, then at least i'd fit in

Just pointing out. WHY DOES IT MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE ANSWER THE QUESTION AND HOW THEY ANSWER IT? If lots of people answer well hey, the more the merrier. And also, let people post what they want, as long as it's not breaking ToS, why should you care?

Maybe you should.

I have no doubt in my mind you had good intentions with the thread. I've checked your post history in the past. The thing is, sarcasm doesn't translate well in text, often times it puts people off or makes your message seem to shine in a different light. That may turn what good you want to make into a flaming/trolling/harassing thread.

That's one of the key reasons I often times ask users to read over what they've typed, and ask themselves if in any way what they post could be construed as harassing, flaming, trolling, or in any way provoking them to be angry. I can't say your thread really fulfilled that and that's the primary reason in my mind, why it got the reactions it did.
