Now... Maybe I'm just crazy, but I think it bodes poorly for Apoline's economy when it takes over 20+ mins to sell t1 hp/sp pots for 20c and yet, next to me there is someone selling a plain, non-green, unenhanced lvl 15 weapon for over 1 silver... Which, of course, you can buy for like 220c from Smith James...
Anyone else feel like venting about the economy? :p

Yeah its crazy I normally try to gauge my prices against others and always look through shops in the towns I've seen ppl selling poison cure for 120c but have yet to sell mine at 35c. I did however manage to sell a non enchanted green mage wand for 2s 500c but even with poison pots right next to it no one saw them as a good deal.:p And did I mention there was a guy I noticed in the square that was poisoned resting in his mushroom house? (maybe bone shot but don't think so) I've noticed also it takes my 2 nites of setting up shop while I'm in bed to sell 50 elrues at 40c. Guess its all about what individual players prize and want to spend money on. Anyways.......

Glad to see I'm not the only one having issues and noticing some really weird discrepancies on what people seem to want to buy. It's almost as if when you price decently, you're driving customers away... Jack those prices and up and you can sell them like hotcakes?

Keep in mind - just because people have some high price, doesn't mean the item is selling. Even if their stack in their vendor window isn't a complete stack, that doesn't mean that they've been selling any. It can mean that, but it can also (and with jacked prices) will more often mean that they didn't start out selling a full stack.
The key to selling in games like this, is patience. I've had dry spells where I haven't sold much for a 2 hour period...switch out some items and try and sell a few other things, and have all of it sell in about 30 minutes. Much of it comes down to who is buying and selling in your area at the time. At 35+, I can honestly say I wouldn't buy T1 pots, unless I was picking some up for a friend...thus if the majority of players browsing vendors at the time is a higher level than what you're selling, you'll just need the patience to wait it out. Leave shops up when you go afk, and give it time for people to see.
MMO's without an Auction House will have more sporadic prices, hence where the patience comes in, undercutting isn't so simple as someone could open up shop next to yours and once again undercut you.

yes i agree. be patient. like... do ur shop when ur going afk for a meal or out with friends, or even sleeping. if u come back and stuff sell at ur price, good. if not, just pack up and go hunting again, kq, whatever turns u on in fiesta.
usually i try to sell things fast as i dont want my bank to get clogged up with bull. i would keep switching characters for producing items, then dump them all in bank as a collection to sell. then i'd go round the town looking for prices people are putting up, and generally putting 5c or 10c below them.
of course, i sell those i know people would buy..... like elrue, lix, green / enchanted weapon thats +3 and up... i usually sell at prices other vendors would be tempted to buy and resell too >.>
