It opened on October 4th, 2007, so it's been open for a little over a month as closed beta.

i might sound kinda noobish when i say this, but im just starting to play mmo's, so... how do u get invited to closed beta.

It's usually random and on the first day it opens (suggesting they have a large enough playerbase to do so) that invitations are sent out. Posting for an invite only causes the player to look like an idiot in front of other players, because it is near impossible to get an invitation at this point in time. It would be best to simply ait until it goes into open beta, where the servers are being stress-tested over finding bugs.
Since Outspark has quite a few accounts to choose from (three or more games with plenty of players), chances are they didn't need to solicit SoS to nearly as much a degree as a company creating their first game.
