Is it true that you need like 400 fame to get the AOE skills when you finish the level 20 job change?

Yes and you got the ammout of fame right too. You can get the skill from item merchant Nina in Elderine

Actually you don't need to get it for fame, because you get it as a quest reward. but it's best to get it anyway, because it's one of the most useful skills you can get. And it's pretty much free.

You finish the job change and you go and do quests to get fame and you eventually reach 400. Will you still be able to get the skill or do you have to have 400 fame before you enter the job change?:confused:

You could wait until lv 59 and buy it with fame then if you wanted to, you don't have to have the fame before you enter the job change. That said, I'd recommend you save the fame, and do the quest you'll get at lv 20 for the skill.
