Yes, that's right.

Quite frankly I wasn't too fond of the policies of the previous one but I am sure there is going to be a lot more focus on the customer/player now.
Yay!
Congratulations.

Sorry, I am not going to post the name, you are just going to have to find out for yourself, and I would recommend that no one else post the name either.

Well, you can believe her. It was announced on Tuesday.

Internet free-game portal Outspark Inc. on Tuesday named O.M., a former executive at Electronic Arts Inc., as its CEO.

San Francisco-based Outspark said Current CEO Susan Choe will remain as chairman of its board.

Mahoney was with Redwood City-based EA (NASDAQ:ERTS) for nine years, most recently as senior vice president of corporate and business development at Electronic Arts,

Outspark said it has a registered user base of more than 4.7 million globally, and since the company launched in 2007, traffic has grown to 5.4 million unique visitors a month.

Sorry to spoil the fun by editing the name, but I think Tamlinari has the right outlook on this one. Go google it and take a look for yourselves :)

60 people working for OS and only 3-4 csr's?

"But he was lured to the new job by Susan Choe, founding CEO of Outspark. She will now be chairman and continue to focus on developing ties to Asian game companies and others that can provide games for Outspark’s online game portal. Outspark has 60 employees, while EA has more than 9,500. Choe felt she needed to bring in someone who had experience with operations in a big company, Mahoney said."

i hope he knows to focus on customer service :)

Outspark specializes in “casual massively multiplayer online games,” which aren’t as time consuming as hardcore games but offer a persistent community, social fun, and ongoing plot to lure gamers back.

In my opinion, I think people spend too much time on this. I also think the social community, not the weak plot, lure people back.

If he's going to help direct OS into concentrating on Customer-Relations and y'know, getting fixes in where we want them first, I don't have an issue.

I know we get patches and what-not from OnsOnSoft, but is it too much to ask for to have the skills we're meant to have? Like Trip/Bleed stunning/causing bleed like they're supposed to?

I'm not sure how much of a "hooray" this is.

^-- What Taki said.
I really hope things will get better and the customer service will get a LOT better. I'm not a big fan of the current OS, tbh. Nothing against the awesome staff though. <3

I have a bad feeling about this though, who knows if the last of the European people are going to be banned? D:
You better let us stay here >,..,> grrr

Actually, it says

Last month the micro-transaction based online games firm secured $8.3 million in Series C funding.

EA has been around for a long time. They wouldn't have without keeping their customer's happy.

The new CEO has come from this company.

It's hard to ask alot of players to keep their hopes up, as it has been shredded to pieces within the past months, but lets try to see what happens.

CHALLENGE EVERYTHING

I'm not sure how much of a "hooray" this is.

We are not "supposed to have" anything, this is a different game, and it`s the only one we`ll get over here, let`s just accept what we have, yes? This isn`t really the topic to talk about "missing" skills...

It`s a change, we just have to hope for the best

hi neo <3 I don't get the challenge everything part.

And like I mentioned in the posts earlier I'm keeping my hopes up. I already liked what happened with EA on DGO. I <3 other EA games (and obviously have no issues with the company) so I'm REALLY REALLY hoping this change might be good...for several reasons which we'll all have to wait and see on.

EDIT: Ohhhh nvm I got the Challenge Everything part. lolllll "EA" whisper: "Challenge Everything"
