Crashing when running

I have noticed that, when running, the game will lock up and force me to exit. This has happened to me many times today, and has become quite frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

XP SP1


1Gb RAM


2x Nvidia 6600GT

could some one help me. Ever since i downloaded the game and play it my comp will exit me off but i dont know why.Could enyone help please
