What's the main reason u like your cleric? Besides healing, of course.

What's the main reason u like your cleric? Besides healing, of course.

I've played casters in every game that I've touched since the 80s, the 'hack and slash' isn't me, and I'd rather run around and buff people, heal them, etc than grind. Healing and buffing doesn't level me so I get more toys to do so with, so grinding is the way to do it.

actually i chose a cleric because when i was playing in Closed Beta 2 there was always a lack of clerics in the Kings Quests, and just in general it seemed. I had a mage but got tired of there being no clerics, so i started a cleric.

Clerics are now my favorite class in this game.

I'm with the above poster, people dont make clerics and there is some short in KQ usually, so I just buff and heal folks and pray I get good EXP :P

I think a cleric fits my personality a little better than the other characters. I'm more of a support type of person than anything.

you're pretty much self-sufficient (self-heal)
you're always needed in any party (so you're never short of a group to party with; i don't like solo grinding much)
even though my cleric hits like a girl, i can live forever
and you save loads of money on hp pots/stones

Why do I like being a cleric...? It's the very first class I chose, and having tried all others, I'd have to say that I'm simply comfortable playing a cleric. I don't have to rely on anybody but myself to keep myself alive, even in the toughest of situations, so I only have myself or my computer to blame if I die. Also, being able to do everything a cleric can in this game is cool... save for the people who say only 'buff plz' or any of its variations that are not in sentence form. It aggravates me, but I won't rant here. Also, I'm a very frugal person at heart, and clerics easily make money, though that is off-set by how many skills we get in our 20s-30s and their prices.

I feel like my cleric is more versatile than my other characters, she can solo with no problems or pt with no problems. On any of my other characters that means high hp/sp stone consumption.
Plus I get lots of smexy skills like endure ;)

I've been a cleric since D&D in the basement of my friends house XD

I think it's also a personality thing. I've always tried to be the person people can rely on in groups. Whether it's work / school / MMOs. In the case of clerics, they are the backbone of the party. If the backbone performs at maximum it can make the party more successful in the end. It's a bit of a strange thing to explain but...The cleric works at 100% capacity, and everyone in the party starts doing alot better than normal. Then in turn, they protect the cleric better and allow them to do their job easy, which then cycles back to them again...and so on.

I like being a cleric because you get to help people in exchange for being strong. I think it's better to stay alive compared to dealing tons of damage. It helps in parties. And I think that's where Fiesta gets its name: partying. Without a cleric, most people won't be able to survive. :] And in real life, I'm more of a support person myself. So like everybody else said, it has to do with personality and/or how you want to be recognized in game.

I like the cleric class because it's versatile. You can do melee dmg as well as healing and if I can heal myself I'm more likely to survive longer when soloing. As a support class it means that a party can work more effectively at getting a boss down rather than wiping cos there are no means of healing other than stones/pots etc.

Mostly I play casters but they're really squishy and whilst they tend to have powerful dps spells, they tend to die rather fast.

i've choosen to be a cleric because my fiancee, aoisuki (mage), wanted me to support her in the game.

I wanted to be a fighter at first but since i am going to play the game with my fiancee, it is better to support her in the game as a cleric.

I like the job of a cleric after i've seen other classes' skills.

They need to press alot of buttons for their skills while i just need to press that very few hotkeys for the class of cleric...you can say that i am lazy to press so many hotkeys :p

But in terms of satisfaction, i think as a fighter/mage, they get to kill many mobs at 1 time and pvp well, and that is something a cleric can't do...
I still enjoy being a cleric when i managed to keep them alive during parties.

Sometimes, i just felt that being a cleric is just like a maid/servant in the house..You get invitation for party because you can heal..Just like getting a maid because he/she can do your households chores.

For other classes, they get party mainly because they are frens and wish to grind together and if a tanker/DD failed (as in did not hold the aggro for mages/archers or did not kill fast enough), no one will notice or complain about it. But when a cleric fails to heal in time, the other classes will make a big hoo-haa about it..

Nowadays, parties members are more refined and do not say it out right in your face if something goes wrong.. =)

Agreed. I am only level 38 and I have made approximately 500s just grinding and doing quests. That is also without the Abysmal Cave/ GoA. Had those been out, I'd have made a lot more money...

I guess it's because i don't like to see people die. Besides, keeping people alive is a good thing to do .. XD
