Aside from those big storyline and Holiday events,
we also have common events that happens every or every other day.

Every server seems to have different tastes in their favorite everyday events.
A lot of people ask for events but never visit the events discussion.
So I'll ask you here, what would YOU like as events?

Find a GM, Boss Fight, Monster Spawn, Dance Party, OX Quiz, etc.

If not only me, I'm sure some of your are sick of low-tiered chests.
What type of prizes or rewards are you interested in?
Please be reasonable!

Mounts, Mini-Pets, Costumes, Accessories, set of scrolls for your tier, etc.

My favorite event, which was unique for its time, was back before BR was officially out.

It was an earth day event in which players that bought the pack were GM ported every two hours to BR to hang out, have fun, explore new places.

I loved it. It gave the feeling of something exciting and new. As well as the earth day packs at the time gave a small portion ( we were told) of thier proceeds to charity.

Something similar to that, events that let us experience something new and fun, be it a zone, mob, or KQ.

IE maybe have an in game guild war tourny by porting two guilds at a time to battle it out in the jail zone. Have a winners bracket for all that want to participate. Winning guild gets.. mmm lets say something shiney like the medal pets?

Let me expand on that idea.

Guilds sign up in a thread for it, register so to speak. At the day thats set aside, the scheduled guilds meet up at sme spot, get ported to jail, when they are all there , attle royal till one guild wins.

Winners go on to the next bracket. Keep going till one is the top.

Some rules may be in place , IE no charms or something, or maybe not. Who knows it may get OS more money from charms lmao.

Something new though. I still like the new zone dealy thing like BR was at that time.

To be honest, I've always loved the Fight a Boss. It allowed lower levels to get a taste of what's in their future in the higher levels, plus it was cool to watch everyone band together to take the bosses down. I was kind of disappointed when it stopped happening.

The problem with it a lot is that lower levels complain about it being too hard and they keep dying. Even though they won't lose EXP for it, I can't imagine it to be super fun to keep dying? But I think these are fun as well...

Oh I wouldent say that as an every day thing. But fr sure I know a lot of people would enjoy that as a big time event. Once every 3 months. But you get the idea.

I didnt get from your post you were talking about everyday events.Just which events we liked. As far as everyday, I like fightthe bos, but I think youd need to inclde tougher bosses like corny or that one that was in FBZ1 the other day.

i'm always throwing up ideas that people like...well i have a couple actually.

1. Event: complete x amount of KQ (that are open to all levels i.e lvl 20 can do robo quest...)

reward: choose either exp, or an item of your choice (that is pre determined in conjunction by players and GM's? but it cant be like a lvl 40 choosing redcliff armor! thats' insane! (although he's lookd pretty darn good!)

now you may be thinkng WHAT!?!?! a lvl 20 doing robo KQ? INSANE! i say not, give the lvl 20 a couple of buffs, throw in temporary weps, and give him some help from higher lvls! (just try not to give him aggro)


i'll post more towards lower lvls and towards higher lvls.

I haven't been online much this summer, but before then I rarely saw the events. I always stopped questing or whatever I was doing to participate before then. I don't know if it was timezone issues, or I was just offline during the times they happened, but I haven't seen the event broadcasted in almost half a year.

Ohh you know what you need to do for Monster spawn? Do what you did with angels/devils, make a story out of it. Use the 90 KQ mobs as a template..


Defend the town from the invading army ...

Spawn the enemy solders, mobs with player skills are fun. See if the army of Eld can beat the Army of Henneath. Make it a nevent wth a story, feels more real and fun that way other then random types of mobs for no reason.

If an event is announced ahead of time "Mob spawning event in eld in 5 hours, 3 hours,1 hour" at least your giving vendors a heads up. It really is thier fault if they stil chose to set up a shop if they have advanced notice of a spawn event.

FBZ is a good choice, but then you run into PK issues. OX is ok, except for the problems with partying and scroll/pot useage.

No matter where or what you do with events your kinda stuck. The only thing that helps is to make the event something special that makes people OK with the small inconvienences they have to endure.

Not ALL will see any announcement if they have to afk for so long. EVERYONE has their own life. You, Outspark Staff, the players and me has a unique life. For some reason, the announcement for any event might help but what I can see so far, Fiesta is like a drug. Nowadays, people will do anything to get everything in the game.

They will afk for a long time to sell or buy anything and THESE take time. It can't be done for a minute or an hour especially when you sell really a good and expensive item. At the same time, you have to settle your life. They can't see the announcement if they get "Your friend has just logged on / Guild member .... has just logged on / Your master has just logged on" and pop-out without nonstop. Plus, they are willing to leave the PC just like that. (lol from me. pc has heart too :p)

PK issues.. :mad: I hate to say this, people are crazy of fame nowadays D:
OX, the problem of partying/scroll/pot, well, it is OX's specialty. If they remove them, that's mean it's not OX anymore. ;)

GMs have to be fair. It's like your parent want to give something for all their children. They must fair on giving the things because they want to avoid "fight". GMs are like our parent and we are their children. LOL. But, sometime... spawning the mobs quite fun though. :D

Event for everyday??
For me, maybe OX Quiz or KILL the GM! haha.

I know it's kinda lame as a whole but alot of players, off and on, will do little things where they hide in random zones, could be anywhere in any level zone, and they hide and give hints as to where they are. Maybe even no hints at all. Whoever finds them first wins a prize like a mount or other Spark cash items. I was thinking of this because it is fair to all levels and anyone could win and the prizes anyone can use. ~

I think it should be a game of tag!!!!!!! everyone starts in eldy and all the GMs get hammers and start attcking everyone!!!! and if u die u spawn out of eldy and cant go back in until its over. It should be about 20-30 mins long. The winners get high qualty drops. like blues,charms,and weapons o.o!!!!!!

Defend AR?

I know there are so many problems with assault/defense type events, but I love them.

Essence of the idea, several hundred (thousand?) Blackbears/pouches/ some other high level AR monster (I don't know them all) that are difficult to handle at the cap are spawned, and go for it. Just about anyone and everyone in AR knows the risks of being there, so it's unlikely innocents will be dragged into it.

so GM will be on diffrent level and at diffrent abyss so like level 10 or higher will versus lvl 45 or 40

I would like you to make the event where you have to kill monsters and collect quest items, for example "choclates & cakes" and hand it in to a npc to get a "crown" or something! Those events are really funny, to get new excitment new preminum items that everyone have accses to get hold of. Those are the events i lie the most!

If you think about making a event like this lets say each month for a example. Dont make a event wher eyou have to farm flowers or herbs to get the event item.

You could like set up all diff of monsters like the mini bosses on some maps like in VT you have to kill Robo to get 1 quest item, then maybe kill 200 slimes and get a reward for that quest that has a quest item for the event.
But those events are really funny, mostly people enjoy it and can make alot of money on the events.

Mm yeah except now exp boosts and stuff tend to cause server crashes, or some insane lag. And it just defeats the purpose ;-;

Pfft I miss events in eld with huge spawnings. And spawn em in the middle. Sheesh people shouldnt get so mad their vendor got disturbed. Youre asleep what 8 hours? There are rarely events so late in the day anyway, and if youre vending in the daytime, then you obviously dont mind wasting the electricity.

Then again woul dbe nice to have one of those Duplicat emaps for guild events ;-;

Well my favorite event of all time would have had to be the "Fight a boss events' via 79 cap when gm's dakkon and kenny were around. they were intense and fun. as far as rewards go to see chest spawn with items around my lvl would be hawt but perma pets with a +3 stat would be even hawter :D, but this is a little off subject but will they release the minerva armor for mages? its too smexy

ah i know what find the gm but no mounts? like lets say the GM is in Sand Beach the GM would disable the mounts for that map only this way theres a lot less complaints about "oh i knew where the GM was but i only got a hobby" idk but just dont do it on popular places like cities and stuff

a Noah's ark event where 2 of each monster spawns starting with slimes and moving all the way up to maybe even 2 helgas *hint hint =D*

I really like those Find the GM events. Those were really nice (well of course I won 3 of them so of course I like em lol), but more like I had a chance to win, so I actually tried. Some of the other events, I just dont like (Fight the Boss? Massive spawning? Nahhhh dont like).

Maybe we could do a War the GM type of thing? Would be so fun. Of course, for Apoline that would be hard seeing as how all the big guilds have been forced into Exhibition state due to chain warring and stuff.. Eh never mind on that then, cus we cant do it... And fbz wont work either, I hate getting splashed by aoes in there when trying to work together with another pt. Maybe you could do an original riddle? I say original because if you use another language or something, people are just gonna go to a translator and get it done that way, while the rest of us frantically try to find it XD

I think near the end there everyone kind of went from, events for everyday(what the thread is for) to events they just liked XD

But I agree with most people's post about the Defeat the Boss event, very fun. I dont know why lower levels complain about dying alot, because I participated in these events at lvl 3x and still came away with something...so I think random weekly Defeat the Boss events would shake up the game a little. As long as there is a Notice like previous people have said. As for vendors that are afk, If they are setting up over night, chances are they are regular players. So being disrupted one night every once in awhile shouldnt hurt their business too much.

As for a new event idea:

Should be fair to everyone of coarse
Entertaining & and if successful provides a worthy reward.
and something creative

With those 3 points i would say, Much like the Christmas event this year. The events should be all in one day, but in 3 sections levels 1-40 would have an event start in Roumen designed much like the boss event, let say it would start about 12pm PST

Then levels 41-75 would have an event start in Elderine etc etc....around 5pm PST

And lastly 76-105s event would begin in uruga, maybe 10pm PST

Then to save people that are level 76-105 that aren't on at 10pm PST, or vice versa. The event times could Alternate...again not an everyday thing. But possibly once a week.

LOL another random thought as an event could be somewhat like "hide and seek". Everyone participates that wants to. Could be held in elderine.
and lets say 5-10 kebings spawn throughout elderine.
Everyone has to search for the kebings and kill them once they find them.
The Kebing's wouldn't have much damage but fairly high defense(allows lower levels to participate & saves vendors the trouble of worrying about being killed)

Now 3 out of these 10 Kebings carry an item that when you retrieve it you have to return it to Shutian
and lets say the other 7 Kebings stun everyone around it upon death(Prevents high lvls from just mounting and killing everything in their path)
Now to give the event some duration, in order to recieve a reward you have to collect 3-5 of the quest items in the allotted time.

I know what you are thinking, if 25 people are attacking one Kebing that drops one item, how is fair to the other 24? well lets say upon death the Kebings either spawn 10-15 chests and one chest contains the item, or upon death everyone around is stunned 5-10 seconds.

As for rewards, Unique pets are nice, SC items such as exp boost or unique clothing.

Well, my favorite idea is the defence/assault event. It could be like a kq, specific for each level. The only difference beteen the event and a kq should be the selection method.

You should register for the event in the forums or have a sign up form at the guild manager. As you register, you would be put on a list. Every two weeks you would start a new list, to keep some order in an otherwise random selection. You would be chosen for the event from the list, then removed from the list. Once everyone has been removed from the list, the next list would be used.

Can i be honest i can barely make heads or tales of half the little events, or even half the big one lol. I ask for help understanding them i look on here and cant make sense so i normally skip out of events and just quest. Like the one you did recently for the winter wonderland thing im kinda new at fiesta all i ever did is quest on three chars. So as you can guessed had no clue what to do with the daily code or what not XD.

It's really easy for you and hard for others! It would be so much fun for me to find a GM. The winner good get like a Sparkcash Item or something like that. It would be so much fun. gm's are invincible. they're not normal players too. they're employees hired by outspark. yes they can pwn you. even me in 1 hit. they have modified characters. they can do anytthing they want. we're lucky none of the gm's have a 13 year old brain. and gm;s are lvl 150 i think. the thing they have in common with us is their "love" for the game and they hate spammers. that's why they have invisible mode.

Well... First of all... This reply is pretty late here...I was bored and couldn't get to sleep so I went on my iPod to look at some threads...then I saw this one and read all the replies and thought I'd reply and hopefully a gm will see and do some of my suggestions. Well, firs things first, no one likes the same thing, some people love pvp (me) some people hate it and just like killing bosses, some people just like hanging out, everyone likes different things. Maybe you could do a different one everyday, set up an idea box so people can send in ideas u can pick from each time. The bad thing is, you can't make everyone be happy with the same thing. Also maybe as some people were talking about where to have the events you could put in the event with the kq list so people can join it like a kq. Now after saying that here's my ideas you hopefully will use:
1. A pvp kq not like the reg pvp kq, but all lvls can join and you can somehow get it grouped into fair teams, and do like I don't know... Pvp kq with those teams or maybe set it up like a guild tournament, ormaybe even capture the flag, I know I'd like something like that I'm a pvp addict xD

2. Maybe a huge kq, maybe with something challenging at the end... but don't make the kq to easy but don't make it to hard, like maybe it could be set up like the king slime kq (with harder mobs) then at the last part in the top you could have a huge mob attack with a helga in the middle, the only problem with this would be the lag though... it would be an epic event if it didn't have to much lag.

3. As some people like (not really one of my favorites >.>) you could have a party one without mobs or pvp and you could just relax and talk.

That's all I have to say, hopefully you see this thread, last... Please please please make an idea drop box people can send ideas to and get to it easily, I'm always failed with ideas and would love to suggest it to gms
