It's puzzle time.

This one is going to be quite tough, which is why I made the reward so good. There can only be 5 winners this time, which basically is enough for whoever solves it, whoever they were working with, and a couple of friends.

At the end of each day I will post whether the coupons have ran out or not, but the amount of redeems available will also decrease by 1 per day, meaning it will run out in 5 days if no one gets it.

Discuss the puzzle in this thread. For this time only I don't mind if you guys publicly work together posting or answering questions if you choose to. It's up to you. Remember, though, it can only be redeemed 5 times starting today, Friday so you may not want to share your findings :D

Here's a hint.

Some of you may have already found out, you can find the ages of everyone except Straega and Cynical by looking up their profiles, so finding out or guessing their ages will take give you the answer to the first part. Straega and Cynical's ages, added together = 60 something, it can be 60, 61, 62.. up to 69.

For the second part, the letter is somewhere in between "A" and "K" in the alphabet.

well I'm a math geek, I turned it into an equation using the upper and lower limits we were given, like the fact that it has to be a 6 digit result.So turning it into an equation is just a habit for me to sovle problems lol

okay this is bad ! i've just finnished entering 135 combinations into the redeem screen and zero good news. Now let me ask some confirmations here the lowest multiple value between (straega-tokara) and (cynical-nekopon) is 21 ... thats the first 6 digit you'll ever get (hopefully) and then the highest multiple you can get is 156 ...( again hopefully ) thus leaving 135 combinations open in the equation :) so thats my first point... and 3 of the 6 profiles available had the same first letter in the real names sections so that part shouldnt be wrong ( very hopefully ) ... and 135 combinations later i still got zero :( so either i have severely miscalculated somewhere or the codes have been used.... PLEASE let us know if they have been used up... that means i've been a dimwit and i can happily try again... otherwise i've wasted 4 hours of my life :(

Chaos I can say you are definitely on the right track, check your numbers again to make sure nothing was switched by accident, and also make sure about the letter. Its real life name letters, not profile nicknames.

lolz the numbers are good to go :) wrote a program to generate them so they are untouchable... so that means i've screwed up that last letter ... damn ! lolz just realised too that if it's not 'B' then there will 10 * 135 more combinations to go :( 1350 :( no mood to try them out now need to sleep... real life names are impossible for me ... nighty night everyone :)

I regret to inform you guys still trying to solve it, that this puzzle has been completed.

As each day went by I was going to give another hint to narrow down the possible answers, but it has run out.

Was this puzzle too hard?

Did it involve too much guessing?

Do you like the other puzzles on the blog a lot better?

....this puzzle involved way too much guessing and thus way too much time. I came up with all the combinations but i never got the chance to put them in since it takes a couple of hours to find all the combinations. It was just my luck that i tried all age combinations for straega and cynical being less than 30 and i got done putting em all in as soon as the first hint was given out ><...
I like the other puzzles better but i think they should be harder. I figured all of them out in a few minutes. XP

It was difficult but the hints gave enough information to cut down on the guessing. I wrote an equation and then made out a chart of combinations for the two unknown ages- the guessing came in when I plugged the possible ages into the equation. I guessed about 13 times before I got it. But I'd already narrowed the letter down to J or B, that helped a lot.

I dunno how the difficulty was compared to other puzzles, as this was the first one I've tried. It was an awesome prize, thanks so much bribbo! :) I can afford to feed my raccoon now! <3

This was definitely your hardest puzzle yet however, you did give all the information needed and with hints that made it possible to figure out, even if there was a long list of combinations. 60-69 was a good hint. And the fact that 'J' was the only letter aside from 'B' that we knew was a GM or CL's real name it was obvious it was one or the other. Especially knowing letter was between A-K. Anyway 8,000 SC especially with the sales going on is a great prize and it honestly shouldn't take 15 or 20 minutes to figure out. Other puzzles, the only issue is whoever sees it first pretty much gets it. One like this gives people a chance to figure it out even if they all didn't find out about it on the first day because of the level of difficulty.
So in my opinion prize worth matched difficulty.

Yeah, this was a tough puzzle, but apparently not too bad, since a few got it. I'd like an explanation of how to get the answer, though. It's been a really long time since I've done this kind of math, and just saying someone guessed after narrowing it down doesn't help. I didn't spend a lot of time on this one, since I was late in noticing it, but I'm sure the people that did would appreciate knowing if they were on the right track.

I tried thinking' sadly most of my ideas were "inside" the box.

That's so weird cause doing a normal search (in the box that says find people) typing in GM_SKiNG doesn't come up with any results. To find the profiles were you just typing in url addresses?
It's possible the person at the link you posted was impersonating a GM and therefore they made searching for GM_SKiNG not appear in normal search results. That's my guess.
