Yeah, I made a nub fighter alt to test out a different tanking build, just wondering if anyone high level has it already.

The build is even split between end/dex/spr, so far the character is like level 30, any input on whether it will be good/bad at higher levels? If it works out great I might get a full reset for duke and make him that build, seeing as how I want knight instead of gladiator, just to be different. xD
(should I ever get him to 100+ that is ._.)

EDIT: Yeah forgot to put planned gears to get.

I intend to get a mix of high end/dex and high end/spr gears for this character. =P

Excellent build for a tank and Im sure Ur gonna suceed in it.
But on gears I would suggest dex/ end/str

And if u want both pvp and tanking hybrid i would like u to go

25 spr, 35 dex, 1:1 str end

Purely PvE, only PvP if forced to. This char will be intended purely for tanking KQs and AoE parties.
And yeah I figured it would be a good build to try, end for hp/def obviously, dex for evasion, and spr for mdef, for those bosses (MD and KKP D:<) with magic aoe's >.>

Lol my nub fighter has the same build but with a little bit more emphasis toward end and spr. My cleric is currently the only high level out of all my characters using an almost evened out end/dex/spr build.

25spr 35dex 1:1 str too many points I say take out the spr or take out the dex 1:1 end/dex would be the best I think dodge block marathons like hell :O str/end/dex gears for a lil bit of dmg from the str better than none.

Well as most will tell you -and you probably know and just didn't mention the intent to stop- after 25 SPR, the crit drops, so aside from adding mag def and 5 spr it isn't very beneficial.

25 (or 20) SPR, split END/DEX...It's a fun build, to be sure...but you will find yourself underpowered compared to END, END/DEX or END/SPR tankers. My recommendation is to increase ENd and DEX 2 or 3 points before adding a SPR point (then use the points from title change and job change to finish the 20 or 25 points ). Even doing this, the split between END and DEX will give you a bit of grief; since the shield block increase % is on the tenth point -you may wish to increase END for 10 levels, then add 2 SPR, then DEX 10 levels, add 2 SPR, or something to that extent.

All in all, END/SPR/DEX is fun to have after about level 70; higher block rate and high evasion makes for some fun AoEing.

The gear choice is nice (I like using it); but having a little str added in some places can make a bit of a difference as well: I.E; armor is all end/spr/dex, weapon is end/str/spr, shield is end/spr/str, and such. You lose a little dexterity, but your stat points already increase it a lot; it maximizes defense and ups your damage a little

Im a noob when it comes to the spr stat so my question is how much Mdef do you get? my opinion is that 5 hp from end would be a better investment but i don't know. I still look for it in gears as a good addition but is it worth it in build?
*on topic*
End/Dex makes for some incredible Aoe (ive only experienced at 4x but ive heard its uber fun at higher lvls) I think the spr would be ok but is there a point when the monsters def beats you str?
