Just a note.

Quite a few of you missed one of the qualifiers for the event.

It was in the video kit, which stated that you had to use the logo along with the URL "www.playfiesta.com".

Most of you still provided the credits and Fiesta logo at the end which means you all read the requirements in the video kit, though I'm not sure why that particular part was missed.

I'm going to throw out this requirement this time around, just keep an eye out next time.

Thanks.

oh. Well Straega, i read the qualifying rules off of: http://events.outspark.com/2009/fiesta/tpain/?lt=gamepage_F1

Below it didn't say anything about adding it in the credits, however i think everyone DID in the video description.

I'm pretty sure that the reason that most people missed it was because it wasn't on the landing page. This particular rule was inside the intro and outro requirements, also the reason why I'm throwing it out so don't worry about it.

I read the read me in the video kit, and also went to the event page to make sure I did everything right. =)

But that's kinda cool that you're throwing that out, gives everyone a fighting chance.

yeah... It was a little confusing seeing as the 3 places with requirements were all slightly different - I was one of the paranoid though, and tried to read absolutely every detail to make sure mine qualified. I'll kick myself if it didn't lmao....not funny really xD

I'm glad you're throwing it out though, I would have been disappointed if I only placed because there were few who actually followed the rules... Because to me I want to earn it...

um many people didn't follow the rule of limiting the intro to 3-4 seconds. The last time I checked,(3 days ago)there was only 1 person who followed it.This rule was, unlike the suspended rule, was mentioned everywhere and below the rules it was written:
'Any video that does not adhere to the specifics listed above will be removed from the contest, no exceptions. Further action may be taken on the participant's Outspark account if needed'.
Well that's too bad isn't it?and this one can't be suspended can it?

many people didn't follow the rule of limiting the intro to 3-4 seconds.

I don't think they meant it as a time "limit" per se.. just that it needed to be at least 3-4 sec... but if you look at the video kit, which few did o-o it should technically be at least 6-9 seconds total (2-3 sec each)

But anyways, sorry if I misunderstood your post, but I just wanted to clarify? I've seen your other comments about it, and just don't think "limit" is the best word for it, more a requirement. Maybe it's just me.....but i just don't think it would bother them to have a bit more advertising for their logo's lol, but having it too short would of course be a bit of a problem... xD

Not that it matters all that much.. but I don't think those people read the video kit - on the official event page and the new post about it, they both mention "3-4 second introduction and 3-4 second conclusion utilizing assets provided by Outspark." I'm not surprised that few people took the time to read all three requirments, but maybe... if you do the contest again someday, it'd be a lot clearer to the contestants if ALL the rules/req were consistent with eachother. There were multiple things that caused confusion in my opinion.

1. Events Page

Include 3-4 second introduction and 3-4 second conclusion utilizing assets provided by Outspark.

Use one of the following T-Pain songs (clean/radio version only) : Change / Freeze / Can’t Believe It

2. News Page

Video components must contain:

- An intro 3 -4 seconds
- An outro (credits) 3-4 seconds

Video must use the CLEAN/RADIO versions of one (or a creative mix of) the following songs:

3. Video Kit

**Your video must follow the following order/guidelines to qualify for the event**

1. Outspark Logo (2-3 Seconds)
2. Fiesta Logo (2-3 Seconds)
3. T-Pain Logo (2-3 Seconds)
4. Music Video (Maximum of 2:30)
5. Your credits and Music Credits (Music by T-Pain - Freeze) (3-4 seconds)
6. Fiesta Logo and URL (www.playfiesta.com) (10 seconds)

hmm.your right.Guess anyone who follows rules from either the video kit or the announcement is eligible to win.I did find it weird that many videos had 6 second intros.
but I think OS should keep the same rules everywhere it announces them.
but still,OS did say no exceptions on the rules on the forums/announcement.

Yeah, I know - it caused a lot of confusion I think... lol. But too late now ^^ they still have a while to sort through them all though, so we'll see what happens xD
