3. The use of cash shop items during match times should be suspended. This includes mounts and charms.

After experiencing the guild tournament, both as a participant and a spectator, I disagree about suspending cash shop mounts. I figured I should open up a discussion on it to see what other people think.

The map is huge. 5 bases that far apart spreads a guild out pretty thin. If my guild members at a base on the other side of the map need my help, I want to be able to get to them - and fast. I also want to be able to slip out of a fight to go grab an unguarded flag, and fast. Having only 30 minutes, I don't think we have enough time to do all of that running on foot. And while it might make sense to use t3-t5 speed scrolls if mounts weren't allowed, there's no use... not with all the mages purging/buff stealing and all the holy knights purging. It's too expensive. I don't know about other servers, but on Teva t3/t4 speed scrolls cost 60-70s+. If my guild is going to cough up 10 gold to participate in something, I want to spend most of that 30 minutes playing it - not walking around, very slowly.

Granted, the other side of this is that it'd force guilds to staff bases better. If you knew that you'd be able to get little to no assistance at a base, you'd make sure that the people there could hold their own. But what's the use if 20 people come charging at your 5-man base? There's no holding up against that, and without mounts, there'd be no way to get reinforcements there in time... or to get those 5 people to retreat.

Sure it'd stink to have a hobby while everyone else has a dragon or pegasus or raccoon. But hobby people could be staffing bases, and at least they can know that help will get to them quickly if/when they need it.

That's my two cents, at least.

Well, I can't say for cs as a whole. Charms and cs pots really do make it uneven. But I think that discussion belongs in a different thread. I'd like my thread to be only about mounts, since cs mounts bring up a whole world of questions different from pots and charms.

the two tournaments i went to on epith, one i was a spec. one i was participating. the first one i went to ended with 1000 killpoints for azumiii and ended with over 10mins left. The second one i went to ended with almost 15mins left with .leg with 1000 killpoints. So, it would be nice if something made it a little more challenging, but it would be very annoying with out all sc items >.<. And if it made the difference between my guild winning or losing i would definatly buy a pegasus just because of tournaments.

Also, outspark would get a lot more $$$ because of ppl charming and extending b4 the tornaments so idk why they are even considering removing them from the tournaments at all lol. But, on the other hand if they just try to make money they will probally lose a lot of players because they are inconsiderate.

Hmmm, yeah that could work.I doubt there'd be a shortage of scers in any guild so there won't be a huge sced vs non-sced problem in that aspect.
The map is big so you don't run into someone every second,16 guilds, max possible 1600 ppl O_O
It's only because there haven't been that many ppl that you got bored travelling around lol.

I'll take mounts off the list if many people feel strongly about it. I do tend to agree, though I may be a bit biased since I just kind of just fly about everywhere.

I'll leave the charms to a different discussion.

I support Roseanna point of view.

Speed is part of the tactics to succeed. Slower units must be used in static positions. Fast moving units shall be used as Fire Brigades and assault teams.

I didn't get bored, because I was busy dragoning around to help my guildmates/watch things. I'd be massively bored if I had to walk that on foot, or park at one base because I couldn't get to another in time.

Well, sc does get expensive, especially on the "consumables" like pots and charms... but that's for a different discussion. Mounts? I can barely think of any higher level players that don't have a cs mount... and really, the higher levels are the only ones who will want to venture into this.
