You have to pass the initiation test.
They spank you with rubber hoses and make you french kiss a chimpanzee.
If you can survive that you move on to the month of sleep deprivation and listening to Miley Syrus singing and being forced to watch every single Elvis Presley movie ever made and if you survive then they will hire you.

The test is eating a big cup of protein powder with a plastic spoon and only water to drink.

I suspect this is why some people find GMs annoying. Would a simple, non-sarcastic answer have been that difficult?

That makes sense, but why could that not have been stated directly from the start? I am not trying to stir up trouble here; it just seems like poor PR to leave customers hanging. Many people here already know where GMs come from, but the OP clearly did not, hence why he/she asked. A sarcastic responese like this...
You have to pass the initiation test.
...is less than helpful. Why bother responding to the question at all if you are not going to take it seriously? Statements like
Ctrl + F: Jobs
... are cryptic and equally unhelpful to someone who does not know what they mean. To cap it off, something like this...
You just got Rick Rolled.
...would seem less helpful still, not to mention a bit inconsiderate. Again, if you are not going to take the question seriously, why bother even replying to it?
I repeat, I am not looking to cause drama here, but this attitude can be construed as cavalier, unhelpful, even rude, and will probably not do much to win friends for GMs or OS. (Or to encourage SC sales.)

The initiation consists of potential GMs having to go up against me in a cage match.
Survivors get the job. XD
But yeah, if Outspark is looking for more GMs it will be posted in the Jobs area of the site.
I used to have a list of requirements and responsibilities, but I cannot find it for the life of me.

Well, maybe you could be nice to the guy and tell him the requirements and previous experience needed and such? Give him an idea of what's involved and required.

Ok, do you want a real answer?
- Apply for the Job Listing
- You must live in or around the San Francisco Bay Area
- You must qualify for all of the criteria in the job in which you're applying for
These are the basic fundamentalist when applying or working for any job in any country.
The reason why myself and Nekopon are "messing around" or "cracking jokes" is because everyone thinks that a Game Master is some voluenteer job which they can do half way around the world. This is a full time gig, that we do for a living to support ourselves, our families, and our lifestyle. We get asked by users all the time (which are underage) that perceive this as a "fun" job. Outspark is a business that publishes and services online games. If you want to become apart of that industry someday, I suggest that you look deeper into the business structure before you spark interest.

Oh c'mon Silky. If I went into a store and asked "what are the requirements to work here?" the store manager wouldn't answer saying "you must qualify for all the criteria for the job." The store manager would tell me those criteria. I personally don't care what the requirements are, but the OP apparently does. Tell him the criteria for the GM position. Responsibilities, experience/schooling required, etc.

You could've proven that by just listing off the job requirements to him in a professional manner.
We get asked by users all the time (which are underage) that perceive this as a "fun" job.
If you get asked it all the time, then where's the FAQ you put it in, since it's such a frequently asked question? You could just link to that.
If you want to become apart of that industry someday, I suggest that you look deeper into the business structure before you spark interest.
Maybe that's what the dude's trying to do by asking what the job requirements are. Maybe if you tell him about the experience you need to have and the college degree needed to be obtained, he might have an idea of where to start getting that real information.
Edit: Try reading this post (http://www.outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45029), OP. Though it's from over a year ago, it may be outdated.

You'll never apply for a job unless you know what the criteria is or what the job responsibilities are.
That's the truth.
All of the FAQ stickies are written by people who are not apart the official Outspark staff.
Just because I'm apart of the Outspark Staff does that mean that I'm not allowed to make jokes? or have some type of humor? This is a community forum, there's always complaints about Staff members acting like robots or having no personality.
Next time, we'll got the PFR route just like Customer Service sends emails.
Thanks for your opinion.

There's nothing wrong with jokes, that's why I went with it at first... it was funny. But I figured you'd give in and at least give the guy a serious answer when you were done goofing off. I'll make it easier for you. Can you answer if this post (http://www.outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45029)'s information is still current?
I'm done now, I did my part. Off to other parts of the forum I go.

Look at the post.
Centrix is not apart of the Outspark Staff.
Snake Eyes has moved to school in the tropics of Hawaii.
Does that answer your question?
Just based off that forum posting I've yet to see 1 resume.

When you're looking for a job, it's taught in career development to learn and research about the place you want to work for. Especially if it's a company. I was just wanted him to see the obvious there, the jobs section at the bottom of the screen. Most company will have this job or link somewhere visible on their websites.
An example- when you want into an office building, it's better to have everything ready with your resume and research done about them than to ask "I heard there's an opening, how do I get a job here?" when they already have the info on their site. It'd make you look unprepared and sloppy.
