I personally like xbox 360 better. If we are talking about which has better graphics and such, ps3 is way better in comparison.

My opinion:

I'm a big RPG gamer and all the RPG games are being bought for the PS3. Even games that had been on the 360 before are being remade for the PS3 with better content. Such as Vesperia.

They essentially are better for different genres of games.
Xbox has Halo and many sexy shooters.

i like xbox360 for the great shoot/action games.

but ps3 has all the sexy rpg games that i play (still waiting or ff13 to come out)

i would say its a draw for me because i have both :3

PS3 hands down for me.

I never trusted the 360 after my friend's got the RROD the first week he bought it.

I love my PS3. I love that I can play online for free. I love the games and graphics for it. I love that controlers over the 360's.

Grant it, the 360 has some decent games the PS3 has, but all in all, it's not much to me. Honestly, the only game I wish they had on PS3 is Left for Dead. Halo is highly over-rated and I get bored of it pretty fast.

Depends on what kind of video games you like. I myself prefer PS3 because I don't like the game selection of Xbox 360.

btw I don't own either. no room in my bedroom nor do I have the money for one ;) I have a Nintendo DS though :3 I like the portability

I personally like the 360 more. Halo 3 left 4 dead (I cant wait for left 4 dead 2 <3) then project natal( i think that is how its spelled) talking with that milo character is going to be creepy lol. but i cant wait but being able to scan things in and play with them will be awesome and playing without a controller ^^

PS3 for me.
Xbox 360 to me is the "cheap" console. Alot of casual games, alot of shooters, and some decent racing games.
PS3 is the hardcore system to me. Awesome rpgs, free online, no RROD xD
and GREAT racing games, *Motorstorm* i always use the tilt function.

PS3 is the best between those two. Most games that are on 360 are on PS3, and vice versa. They have a few key games each, like 360's Halo and PS3's Metal Gear. But PS3 has more features, like Blue Ray support, motion sensing in controllers, internet browser, and overall a more powerful system.

But I still prefer a Wii over a PS3 and 360.

It's sort of a toss-up to me. PS3 has much better memory, graphics, blu-ray, and free online. However, the hate the controller (changine the R2/L2 shoulder buttons to "triggers" was a bad idea imo.) The 360 charges for online, but has much smoother online play than most games I've seen. Halo 3 in particular has spectacular matchmaking, but overall most 360 games beat out PS3 for online. I also like the 360 controller. It contours nicely to your hand. The D-pad is next to useless, but I don't know of many games that require much use of the D-pad. It's also less reliable, what with the RRoD and all, but I think I still prefer it as a console. Btw, I'm a hard core halo 3 fan. If anyone wants to play PM me for my gamertag.

I like the PS3 better over the xbox360 because of well... everything and most of the xbox games people like are some sort of shooter and those get boring quickly

Okay, I'm gonna do some comparisons here:

Graphics:

PS3, by far better graphics.
Game selection:

Xbox360 DOES have more games, but PS3 has better quality, better playing games; so this one goes to the PS3. (hehe correct use of semicolon)
Controllers:

PS3 has almost the exact same controller as the PSone did, so no kudos here, but as for the 360; Microsoft has gone all out with their controller design, making it the most ergonomic game controller I have ever used. 360 wins this one.
Reliability:

Do I even have to say it? The 360 in 2009 had a 33% FAILURE RATE (mostly due to the Red Ring of Death) which is silly really, because If Microsoft put just a little more solder to connect one wire, or just use a better fan; it would have a fail rate of less than 1%, like the PS3 and Wii did in 2009. Obvious choice here: the PS3
Wifi/Online Gaming:

This one is close, because the PS3 comes with built in Wireless, but has a smaller user-base. Whereas the 360 requires either a really long cable costing you $20+ to run from your router to your Console, or an $80 wireless adapter for it, as well as the monthly fee of 8 bucks a month or $50 a year, so in your first year of xbox live, it will cost somewhere between 70 and 130 bucks. I have to say PS3 wins here, just because of the free wifi and free access to online gaming.

sorry to all you 360 fanboys, but PS3 is by far the best choice.



(I have PLAYED on both of these consoles, but I DO NOT OWN EITHER, even when playing the PS3 is actually still slightly better overall. All I own is a PSone and a Wii)
