Game problem

Hi,

I've installed SoS and can log into the game. When choosing a server, the only option is "closed beta". When I click on it and make my character to "select", I reach a black screen. I can still hear general sounds in the game when clicking the arrow keys, but not much. What can I do?

Did you download the correct graphics drivers before you downloaded the game?
The site has links to drivers for the most popular graphics cards I think...if they don't have you card I suggest you go to the website for the developers of your current card and see if they have a driver update to download.

well I usually save it as a .jpg because I don't make them too fancy and I don't find that the artifacts (the little imperfections) that are left by the .jpg format to hurt my crummy little sig that much:p But if I had a nice little sig that was more complicated and had more detail that I wanted to look good I think you can save as a .png, which is better in that department.

I think he's talking about your Video Driver, its the same thing as your Graphics Card (Driver). You can find it in your Video Settings in Control Panel, you should have settings for it, to get updates, activate that, and you'll get the update for it, it should fix your issue.

If it doesn't then you might have to change one of your files in the game client, because they didn't make it compatible with the type of Video Driver you have.

Instead of going through that annoying stuff, I just bought me a new one. I currently hae 7 PCs all brand new, with different specs, I use them to test error and problem fixes, that I have come across.

If what I have told you does not help you, then I'll need to know all of your computer specs (System Information), and I will get back to you with the fix, that should work.

Wow, what to say...I was indeed talking about the drivers for his graphics card...if you actually read the instructions on the SOS sight about downloading the game you won't be surprised to actually find that they require you to download drivers for specific cards...One would assume that you would need them to run the game....(facepalm)
And lastly...yeah...just buy a new computer....that will solve everything...hell, buy seven of them...that seems like a totally logical way to fix a completely simple problem that can be tested and fixed easily and probably prevented by RTFMing. (continued facepalm)

The graphic issue you are experiencing is with your graphic drivers. In order to play Secret of the Solstice you must have the latest version of Open GL drivers. Please go to this link to download the latest Open GL drivers. Also please make sure that your PC is within the Minimum System Requirements.
