You can enter this contest 3 different ways:

Categories (Choose one)
1) Dress up yourself, someone else, or your pet.
2) Carve a Pumpkin.
3) Decorate a room, your roof, a fence, a tree, etc.

Think Halloween for the theme, so pretty much anything goes (but nothing R rated, guys).

There will be 1 winner for each category listed above, meaning a total of 3 different people will each win 4,000 Spark Cash!

Each entry will be given between 1 and 10 points by Outspark staff, with up to 4 optional bonus points allowing a total of 14 points. We will choose one winning entry in each category.

Interested in earning bonus points? For each of these feats that you accomplish in your entry you will get a maximum of 1 extra bonus point:

How to Earn Bonus Points

Feat #1--Relate your entry to Outspark in some way. Like a simple Outspark or Fiesta logo

Feat #2--Incorporate a background image from any Outspark game. Like dressing up your dog and sticking him on the slopes of Project Powder with photo editing.

Feat #3--Involve an in-game character or character art from an Outspark game in the image. For example, dress up like your in-game character and pose next to them.

Feat #4--Have more than 1: character from an Outspark game, real person, or real pet in the picture. Like dressing up you and your dog, or you and your friend.

(For questions about the bonus points see the "Notes" section at the bottom).

Entering the Contest, Dates, and Rules
Post an image of your entry in this forum thread with a maximum width of 700 pixels but no smaller than 250. If your entry does not meet the width requirements or is deemed inappropriate it will be automatically disqualified. The entry must be your own and not taken off the web.

You have from Oct 7 to Oct 21 to enter. Only ONE submission per person or Spark ID is allowed, so make it count!

You are allowed to modify the photo however you please.

Notes:

If you accomplish feat #2, or #3 then you will technically also accomplish feat #1 earning one bonus point for each feat you accomplish.

You can only earn 1 bonus point per feat. For example, for #4, "Have more than 1: character from an Outspark game, real person, or real pet in the picture", if you and your family of 5 dress up and pose for the picture that's awesome but you will only get 1 extra bonus point for this feat.

Do not go for the bonus points so much that it takes away from the quality or theme of your entry. Remember that you will be judged from 1-10 based on the image alone.

:3 Yup! Tineye is a reverse image search engine where you can insert the url of a picture and it will show where it is located on the internet. It works best with popular images, because some are too obscure to show up.

Im from Mexico and here. we have a traditional celebraation called "Dia de Muertos" the november 1 and 2, is a similar idea for Halloween, but this have prehispanic origins, we make a shrine for remember our dead family and frinds.

He is a picture for the shire in my house, is little but traditional.

i feel like i'm not going to be validated for all my hard work on this because there's already been tons of pictures like mine... :[ unfortunately, i've been working on this for over a week (it's true) and there wasn't any way for me to post it sooner. soooo...i decided since Fiesta is a virtual world and this is a halloween costume contest, i would digitize myself! :D i took out my char's head and photoshopped mine in with my char's same eye and hair color. and then i made it look more "virtual" by smoothing out the details. and ta-da!, i'm costumed as my char! :D aaand the dog that i turned into a hell hound cerberus is my bf's dog. XD other things i had to add into the photo: the pumpkin, the grave, the zombie, the Fiesta logo, the ice vivi, changed my character name to my username on here (for privacy reasons) and added the text. WOOT! finally i'm done! =D
dont ask how many hours i spent on this...its far too many to count X_X

How to Earn Bonus Points

Feat #1--Relate your entry to Outspark in some way. Like a simple Outspark or Fiesta logo

Feat #2--Incorporate a background image from any Outspark game. Like dressing up your dog and sticking him on the slopes of Project Powder with photo editing.

Feat #3--Involve an in-game character or character art from an Outspark game in the image. For example, dress up like your in-game character and pose next to them.

Feat #4--Have more than 1: character from an Outspark game, real person, or real pet in the picture. Like dressing up you and your dog, or you and your friend.

Your right about the bonus points. While writing Feat #4 I meant to word it in a way that would imply that 2 pumpkins instead of one would also count for this feat but while re-reading it again I am realizing that it isn't clearly stated.

However even with the bonus point subtracted the entry would still win. There were only 2 pumpkin carving entries. And I found that the other entry was already on another site so it became disqualified. There was a third entry but the photobucket account ate it and it was never posted again =(

Technically there was only really one entry to choose from in the carving category. About the bonus point being awarded when it shouldn't have been, you're right.

But when it comes to not following the rules, you're wrong. For my events, puzzles on the blog, etc, I follow my own rules every time unless I make some sort of mistake. I would never choose to ignore them and I can say with confidence that other people at Outspark do the same thing for their events.
