Halloween Quest? Your opinions~! [Archive]

Hello,

I looked trought the event calendar to finally discover what the Halloween Event Quest will be or might have a big chance to be.

It will be like last year, you will have to bring Myzen 50 lantern souls for a Pumpkin Pudding. Once you get 5 of these puddings, you will be able to trade it for a Pumpkin Head (30 days)
Last wear we got this event but items were permanent.

What do you think about that?

Personally, I think that it's good to have some events which don't give permanent items but maybe give out items that haven't been introduced in-game before. Many of us already have the Permanent Pumpkin head so we don't need a 30-day one, well maybe if it has a different look. The reward should be different.

*shrugs* Well, not everyone would have the Pumpkin Head. I think a 30 Day one is better. At least it's not a Permanent one.

I understand -some- people may not like this, such as if the crowns we're released, but...you're just hearing this from a person that thinks everyone is allowed to have a fair share.

Either way, it wouldn't make much of a difference to me. Different items are good, but... >.>

I thought the cat head was perm not the pumpkin head. But maybe I'm wrong.

would have been nice if they gave out a different item this year. hopefully there will be something else going on for those that already have it. they giving out the cat mask too?

From the informations on the calendar, there is no information about a Cat Mask being given out but if the staff can change the event, they could maybe insert something else.

30 days don't take much space like ermanent items but a new item is always nice and people are more excited about getting it. I haven't used my Ice Cream hat yet :P

I would like a perm, but let's face it. They just did CoA. That was/is epic, IMO. They aren't going to do another perm event so soon. As long as the event reward gives stats or crit, I'm fine with it, timed or not.

Anyhow, as I joined in june, I practically missed all the holiday events XD (except for the ice cream one, maybe, I ran out of time anyway...) ... permanent items would be cool, perhaps something new ;D either way, I'm looking forward to see what will come for halloween and x-mas X3

LAst year once we completed the quest for the perm item we had options on what item we wanted. Some people got swirly glasses, some a pumpkin head(my personal fav) and then there was the cat head, that looked weird, if you ask me. I prefer them NOT to do perm items every time, i'd have all kinds of stuff that I could only occasionally wear! :O

Besides the CoA I haven't been active during a perm event... I would LOVE for a perm head item again so I would have a chance :/

What I'd really like is a perm item thast ISN'T a heade piece. People who've been playing for awhile probably 3 or 4, the crown, the pumpkin head, the cat head, and the slime head. Maybe release something different.

On the topic of a perm pumpkin head, I wouldn't really like that either. Not only would it destroy the rarety of the ones that are already out, the people who have been playing the longest and already have them would be getting less out of the event.

A back item would be a neat twist. The pumpkin head is really fun to have, I love the big bucher knife that sticks out of it lol.

Last year the pumpkin head was supposed to be 30 day and only cost 1 pudding while the cat head cost 5 puddings and is perm. But, both of them wound up being perm. I'd like some kind of perm glasses (I don't really care for the swirly glasses lol).

I didn't even bother getting the last Halloween event items. I'm never taking off my crowns anyway. ;P

I wouldn't mind some event gear for boots, gloves, or the back. It would be different and kinda fun to see what they do. Lets just wait and see. :)

i think that if you already have a permanent item like a crown or a pumpkin head, that you could trade it in for a new and better item that only the trade ins can get, and the ppl that dont have the items to trade can get the ones that were traded in for the new ones and then you will have to wait till next year to trade it in and get the upgraded item. that way ppl keep coming back to get better, more envied items.

Did i confuse anyone? lols

ít's a chance for others to also get the pumpkin head for 30 days :)
the perms are special, and its good they wont be perm again.

also i think it would be nice if there will be perm items just like last year... but ofc new one's.

I second this. Pumpkin head is ugly. Outspark never ceases to disappoint huh? Same event quest as last year? That takes....no effort on Outspark's part...at all, being as we already have the data, it wouldn't require a new patch.

Are we going to get the same dumb *** Christmas quest too? Probably.

Sorry to be so negative, however playing this game for two years doesnt leave much to get excited about, especially since Outspark keeps doing the same damn stuff every damn year. Switch it up for gods sake.

Lets say you finish the event quest/quests, as a reward you get a tric kor treat candy sack with diffrent rewardings (like a kq tresure chest) but with other items, or maybe some kind of mask that is on the backside side of your head so it looks like you have two faces.

And a new mount, like a witch broom or how it spells i dont know, and a black cat on it or something, a new pet maybe 2 devils flying around you head. And alot more stuffs thats comes from the traditional haloween, just dont think of masks or something, think of something else. !-^_^-!

Christmas event last year was fun, there were many rewards and 4 permanents (including the pets) and 2 other rewards which lasted 30 and 7 days.

Somesort of Bone Sack could have been fun, it could have lasted 30 days, giving you one extra inventory or if they made perm, well it would be just for look.

the suits were fun cuz everyone got a free one. That was so awesome of outspark to do that. I agree we need something different. Siince we cant have the crowns hot bout something slose to that like a shriners hat or a little PARROT *o* omgeeez

The perm santa/rudolph pets are perm, sure you've seen them? And these were items that ALSO were found in the treasure chests you had to harvest in FBZs to get the quest items for the other things.

Really good idea, the brooms are a really fun idea, as a 30 day or 7 day options, and I like the idea of twin demons(remember the twin angels that spun around the head?)

Hopefully OS can do some things like this in the future.

On a side note: Let's ALL keep in mind, OS has to get approval for all new things implemented into our version of Fiesta, they dont just have fre reign. Lets give some credit where credit is due: At least we GET Holiday Events and quests!

OutSpark screwed up and made the sets permanent on their release. The few who bought it before OutSpark changed it still have the set. I've seen it in August.

Has anyone seen the movie called "A Nightmare Before Christmas?" about the haloween ppl ^_^ something like that, that you could be dressed like a doll costume, a skeleton, werewolf, a troll, a ogre, a vampire all these coold stuffs, like vampire teeths orsomething, and you know all devils got a spear, why not get that on ur back as a crit spear like the sword, or maybe haloween weapon skins ima say each think for each class.

Fighter:
One handed:
two handed:A huge butcher knife :P
Axe:Maybe the axe that zombies carries (tho its very tiny)

Cleric:
Mace:A pumpkin mace
Hammer:A wodden pole of a kind the ones that weakened ogres uses with spikes in it :D

Archer:
Crossbow:A old rusty riffle:cool:
Bow:To be honest i cant come up with something for archers bow >_._<

Mage:
Staff: A spear that devils uses, "as i said higer up in my post"
Wand:A litle Fairy wand/ or a huge light candle with a fire on the top^_^

This i just typed for funn :P

But a new pack maybe then i came up with this dude, "The headless knight" or what hes called that shows up on the haloween with a new mount like a skeleton horse and then you get a crit/dmg.mdmg/def, mdef suit i dont know where your head is gone and replaces wit ha pumpkin or just simply nothing just a body :p

There are already Halloween weapon skins which should be avaible in the Store during a few weeks around Halloween. There were a few in cash shop already so it wouldn't be surprising to see more.

Hmm, perhaps you are misunderstanding me. For Christmas of 2008 we had quest items, some of which had to be harvested from the treasure chests in FBZ. I did the quests. I know. I was in FBZ fairly often and when you opened a chest, sometimes you got these perm pets, sant aand rudolph and whatnot. I dont know what you were told about people selling them after have recieving them the year before, but Epith didnt EXIST the year before at Christmas. On Epith, the only way a person has the perm Christmas pets was to pick one from one of those treasure chests, or to buy one from another player durring or after the event.

I have Alts that arent married and the +2 Christmas pets are a nice alternative to the wedding pets. You dont have the +5% and 10% in pty but still, +2 is always better than +1 to all stats.

Well on one hand, Ill be able to sell the lanterns (I have pump perm on all, and cat on one) so thatll make me money :) preferably im glad its a 30 day item this year,m when i heard it was gonna be the same item i was worried

It would be nice if we could have options. Let us choose between a permanent that does nothing, and a 30 day version that adds critical or something. This way, everyone would be happy. I would like a permanent, but I understand why other people would not.

I joined the game a little over a month after the crown event 2 years ago (did they have it this year - I was semi-retired?) That's the only perma item that I truly covet. I do have the slime mask (what was up with the 2 on the back of its head??) and the cat mask, I guess its time to dust the kitty mask off and wear it around. oh, and I still have a few Santas and Rudolphs in my storage I think :)

well i didn't do last year event quest so i guess ill do it this year, this time for both my cleric and archer....meaning a total of 500 souls.... ><
