Accused: Does this happen often to you?

As the title says, I was wondering if alot of you were falsly accused of silly doings such as "stealing."

My story: Was partying w/ my hubby's mage on my alt archer in Goblin Camp. We both needed goblin mushrooms, and I found one. But, another girl was going after it, so I decided to be nice and let her have it, thinking there's plenty around, and if I was in her place I didn't want random people snatching it if it was obvious that I was running towards it to get it.

Time passed, and I found another one. This time, no one was on it, so I run towards it. I get aggro'ed by a werebear, so since no one else is after it, I decide to kill it first. At this point, I'm standing right next to the gob shroom; pretty obvious I'm going after it. But, the previous girl comes up and stands close to me. She inches towards the goblin mushroom, and I'm thinking "Crap, does she not think I need it?" so I immediately start harvesting the shroom. Right after I do so, she starts harvesting as if to steal from me.

I personally go a little offended, and said something like "I let you have yours...."

I should've just let it go, but the girl whispers back, "what did I do to deserve you stealing from me?"

It was honestly, seriously obvious that I first had it (especially since I got the thing w/o using the bar,) but she accused me of taking it from her. Her and her party mate started bashing me in whisper, general and shout chat to let the whole world know -_-;;;. I become infuriated and blocked them, as well as another random spectator who told everyone to shut up or he'll ks us all.

This just reminded me of that fact that I had something very very similar happend on my main when she was in GC. In a party, my main was accused of stealing my own quest loot, when it was clear that the loot belonged to me. They kicked me out of party and started calling me names and such. Ofcouse, I ss'ed it and reported it, but I recently saw the culprit acting high and mighty as she was back then. Oh well.

Sorry for the wall of text and rant, but just wanted to know if anyone else had similar issues often or not, and if they have advice for avoiding/dealing with this kind of thing effectively, in case it does me no good/not enough evidence to report it.

Happened to me last night. I was spectating in 50 abyss at 0% for lvl 61... This mage kept getting being PKd (lvl 50).. I PT'd him and go to help him lvl cause he said thats all he wanted to do. I run him up to a room. There is an archer killing some guys there. So I run to the back haf the room (where that archer wouldn't survive (they were like 49)) I start kiting the back of the room and run passed (careful not to Mist on the other archer or their mobs). They start gettnig pissy with me. They called me names and told me not to KS (after I was SPECIFICALLY carefull NOT to KS him). After falsely calling me a KSer and then spot claiming, I decided "Okay, We're in abyss, lets settle it ike abyss should be used, fight for the claim to the room" so i killed them. The whole time they were dead they sat there cussing me out and threatening me. Oh it was so funny.

It's just a noob. And its really nothing major. Reporting that would be like calling the police because someone cut in the grocery line.

Ppl always accuse ppl of things, kill stealing, drop stealing blah blah blah list goes on. There are alot of mean ppl in this game sometimes :/

lol people don't know what the term "ks" means anymore. I've had friends complaining that they were aoeing when another player would come up to their mob and steal some of the monsters my friends were attacking/being attacked by and accuse my friends of ksing lol.

Goblin Camp had to be the worst experience of my fiesta experience. people always thinking they can come into someone's grinding/questing session and take over it. Took me forever to get my alts through those levels and I got one more alt left to get through it

The easiest solution to that problem would have been to ask her if she wanted to party. that's a good level to start learning that by partying for quests, it gets done faster and the drop rate for quest items increase so there's an advantage ;)

Ya, I agree with Sweet. I would just party them and I usually get my quests done quickly. I haven't really met people who say that I steal their drops, but mostly dum dums in abyss, but that's another story. :]

Even worse when it happens and the person who is in the wrong reports you to OS guess who gets banned for 3 days? Yep the ones who were 1 there first 2 who tried to invite the other to party and 3 who never ks'd but were ks'd out the wazooo. Happned to a friend of mine just a few weeks ago. Nothing bad like what you guys are reporting was even said by both people. I was right there saw the whole thing, but the spoiled wrotten kid reports us and my friend gets banned for 3 days. There is no right or wrong in Fiesta just who reports first, remember that.

Id have to agree with this.

Not to light a match but...Outspark's customer service lacks research on issues. They find the most generic and easy answer and *copy and paste* and *send*.

I personally don't understand how they can properly give punishment to someone when 1) they are going by one side of the story 2) the punishment giver was not there to witness it themselves.

Kids these days....especially American but not all Americans and not just Americans.... are served everything on a silver platter so whammo in the real world things aren't going their way all they can do is throw a hissy fit because they never leaned to deal. I have been accused of drop stealing once where the guy was killing ratmen and would run off to the next one before picking up his good and I thought he didn't want them. I told him he should pick his stuff up right away and he told me to get out of his face so I did. I have been KSed to the point of saying something only once and that was the last time I did gold hill. I was grinding o nthe last skeloton and it was all I needed to finnish the quest. I had leveled up in game and was lv 33 so I couldn't do it just once. As I was running to the thing I shouted. "This ones mine no one help me" and this lv 23 archer comes up and delivers the final blow and screws me out of completing the quest.

Well, I remember one event not too far back..I was on my alt cleric in FOM with a friend, and I accidentally KS someone..we both attacked a phino and i made the last hit. I was about to apologize and the other person goes off in a hissy fit of name calling...ah, and then she tried to intimidate me by showing me her other character..probably her main. XD

GC is one off the worse places in this game when it comes to levling :P

I was bored on my 8x archer traveling around and ended up in GC, after a while someone shouted that they needed help with werebears, so i asked for pt and helped them out for about 30 minutes. I took them to the good place for werebears (if you ppl know where it is, mostly should know) however after 10 mins that i helped them it comes a lvl 4x archer shortly after it comes a 9x fighter starting to yell at me how much i fail to be a archer and KS and spotclaming them, the spot was completly empty when i came there with my pt, she started to call me bad things and all, (i wanted to screen shot but i couldnt i had something called F-lock in so i coudnt screen her) After she called me bad stuffs it went quiet, and poff my guild master is furious at me for have done these things "KSing spotclaming" i explained for my GM about what had happend and he started to belive me. And i asked my GM what is wrong with this dude?

My GM told me the he know this guy and that he was a very hars patriot American... i was like WOW, that it even exists ppl like this. I was so close to get furious at this person but i held it in, however if i see this person again and talking shyt about ppl ill screen it next time and give it to my GM. Kinda lost some litle faith in some americans, but i like many of them but some are completly JERKS i gotta say :P

Agreed. Considering the original poster is asking if anyone has experienced being called a thief and harassed lets not bring "Americanism" into this.

And to answer, I experienced similar situations once or twice but that was when I was lower level.

It's more about being insulted and harrassed when you don't even deserve it. But you guys do have a point, and I really need to stop letting things like this bother me >.<;

And yeah, as I thought; I get ks'ed in GC every single time I quest there. So glad my archer's gonna be lvl48 soon!
