major help needed [Archive]

I downloaded the game, and I'm on the screen where you type in your outspark ID. When I type in my ID and password, a little window pops up and it has an upside down question mark, and upside down exclamation mark, a ', and a ". Then I click "ok" and it pops up again. I click ok again, and it goes away and brings me back to my original page. I haven't even played the game yet, why won't it work?

hmm, try re-installing....yeah, that should work....I had that problem in World of warcraft beta.

re-installing? urgh...it took close to an hour last time...If that's the only way, then I'll do it, but I'm going to wait for Break's response, thanx for the help tho.

haha. I'm taking your advice now. I wasn't expecting Break to reply in a timely fashion, and by the time the thing is fixed, I'll probably get the response XD.

Heh, when your on the game, Try the 2nd server, the one that starts with T...can't remember the name, I'll give ya a headstart and some money.

I've seen this error... TWICE

The first time it happened was on an OLD machine I have running XP home. After I updated DirectX it was fine.

The second time I saw it was on my main machine... just yesterday actually.
It happened after I installed Vista Ultimate. I attribited it to my graphics card that was not fully supported by Vista with no new drivers to support it. I bought and installed a new graphics card and presto... I'm killing slimes again.

If you are still having this problem, post your PC specs and maybe I can be of more assistance.

We are aware of the issue, and are currently working on a fix for this issue.

I have a work around that i used at home....

If the patch is not successful, keep trying until it work. It took me 5-8 times at home before it finally worked. The patch is timing out when contacting our server. This work around is a force install work around. It may or may not work. This work around is also not 100% gurantteed to work, but you may want to try it.
