every mob gives them :3 so just chek around

I'd say the monsters you are killing for quests. They are your level so there is more of a chance to get them.

lvl 12 absolutely sucks for lanterns, i got 3 within like 20-30 minutes killin blue crabs, greenkys, crabs, little hobs, hungry wolves and phinos.
ratmen drop them quite a bit though, so just lvl up a few times
