*** This event has come to pass and no longer is in effect. Thank you for participating! ***

Introduction
If you haven't heard of the puzzles on the Oracle Blog yet, then click here (http://oracle.outspark.com/category/puzzles/) to see some of the past puzzles for examples.

Submissions are now open to the Outspark community! Submit your very own puzzles to GM_Nekopon as a PRIVATE MESSAGE.

Format of your puzzle
Please send GM_Nekopon a complete puzzle based on Outspark or any Outspark games. That means full instructions without any details left out, and the answer to the puzzle.

Can include but not necessary:
-An introduction, like a story that leads up to the puzzle.
-Hints and examples.
-A short demonstration of how you got to the answer

If you send an incomplete puzzle and do not wish to complete it, it will only be used once all complete puzzles are used first. The same goes for puzzles sent by someone who already got a puzzle posted.

Your reward:
If you submit a puzzle that goes up on the Blog, your Spark ID will be in the post as the creator and you can be the first one to put in the answer at outspark.com/redeem (http://outspark.com/redeem), getting the Spark Cash reward that is chosen for it. You can share this code with only one person who helped you and one who did not.

Details about the process:
-Give me up to a week to respond to your PM before sending another.

-You will be notified via private messaging if your puzzle is going to be used on the blog, and we will find a time that works for you so that you can redeem the code before it runs out.

-Do not share the answer with more than one friend that did not help make the puzzle or look over the puzzle for errors. For example if one friend helped make the puzzle, you can share the coupon code with that friend and one more, and that's it.

Keep in mind:
This is a trial, which means it may cease to exist for any number of reasons, especially abuse like sharing the coupon code with more people than the rules allow or logging on to other accounts to redeem the coupon code.

ALL REWARDS FROM COUPONS ARE NOT ABLE TO BE GIFTED.

I sent you one already, I hope you got it. Because I didn't do one part, I will re-send you my puzzle with it's full version.
Enjoy,
~Lucky

EDIT: I finally completed my puzzle!!! I am going to send you the completed version of it with answer in case you would wish to check everything.

I'll think up something this weekend.

EDIT: Well it certainly took up a large chunk of the weekend. I don't know how you do it! Took me ages! I've got total respect for your puzzle creating ability lol.

Upon rereading your post where you say "If you submit a puzzle that goes up on the Blog, your Spark ID will be in the post as the creator" would it be better if on the Blog it says "this is a user submitted puzzle" and once the codes get used up and you post the answer on forums the user name would then be posted as well? That way the creator doesn't get 20 PMs asking for answers or clues? lol. Just an idea.

I have gotten some of your guys' puzzles and I am looking them over. I must say they are quite complex. It made me realize that there is some stuff I should have added in the directions, so I am updating my post now.

I am going to post a user submitted puzzle this week.

Are you not worried that people will submit it and when you put up the puzzle, the creator will just tell all his/her friends and it'll be gone within like 10 mins? o_o

i was kinda thinking the same... x.o guess we just need to have trust in the players

I agree, it's going to rely a bit on trust. But also there are logs for everything. If the codes are reemed in 10 minutes it's very clear that either the puzzle was too easy, the creator told all his/her friends, or someone else who solved the puzzle told his/her friends.

1) I don't believe the puzzle will be too easy, Bribbo always strives to make challenging puzzles. I would think if he gives an 'ok' on the user puzzle it would be something that would require a decent amount of work. That's my guess.
2) A puzzle creator that tells all his/her friends or telling anyone for that matter risks not only having the blog puzzles stopped altogether due to cheating/unfair practices (as hinted could happen in the 'frightful puzzle' thread) but also getting a reputation of being untrustworthy. And that would seriously not be cool.
3) If a player who solves it does #2 they also risk a bad rep and getting the puzzles stopped altogether. They can check the log books to see who redeemed, the time it was redeemed, if they did it on multiple accounts (by checking IP address) etc. Very dumb of anyone to risk it especially after what was mentioned in the 'frightful puzzle' thread.

That's just my thoughts. Let's hope both creators and solvers can be fair and give everyone an equal shot at it.

This is still in a trial period and I hope works out. There are a number of things that would cause me to not put up people's puzzles on the blog, like the coupons being redeemed quickly for various reasons. But we will never know until we try.

If you make a puzzle that gets published, just know that I will take the time to monitor redeems closely especially in early stages.

Well, how do we private message you? i dont really go on the outspark website ._.
In case you were being serious...
1) On the top right corner of the screen it says "private messages"
click it.
2) Where it says control panel on the left with a list of links click "Send a message"
3) Under recipients type CM_bribbo

and how must we make sure that our answers must be able to be typed on the redeem page thing? :p
if your puzzle was "name an outspark game that begins with 'f'" the answer is fiesta. so just indicate in the PM "fiesta would be the answer to type in the code box"

Ah well Bribbo i like how you're taking the risk for something like this just to try it out. It's nice to see you trusting the community and getting them involved in things like this, It really is, It's also one of the reasons i really like outspark is how they handle their customers/community. lol, good job, keep it up :P

As if there is any more risk than the first person who solves the puzzle telling everyone else.

Hey guys I am checking over the puzzles I have received.

Thank you very much for your submissions! With every submission and question I see on the forums I feel like I need more clear instructions, so I will update them soon.

In terms of getting back to you guys, I will try and do it in order of when I received the puzzle. Keep in mind that the more I can understand the puzzle and simply just copy and paste your instructions, the less times we'll have to go back and forth through private messages and the quicker you will see it on the blog!

So although I appreciate when you guys send over cool puzzle formats, I will be posting puzzles that I can copy and paste before puzzles where I use your format to plug in questions and answers.

If you don't receive a response to your puzzle in a week, feel free to send another PM to me, but I will do my best to get back to each of you and get a new puzzle up at least once a week.

GM_Nekopon, the event pro, is going to be responsible for this project from now on.

See how the instructions in the beginning have changed.

Send her a PM with your puzzle instead of me.

I am also forwarding pending and unread puzzles to her.

Thanks!
