Hello everyone
Im posting this thread because in my experience in playing Mass Multiplayer games people charged to "Buff" you.
For Example not sure if anyone else if Familiar with SWG-Star Wars Galaxies
Doctors-AKA Cleric of the game they charged you for them to enhance you for the Hour.
I know to some this may sound crazy.. or no fair..But if we would put this in effect would be very low of a price a couple of Silver coins no higher then 10 and no lower then 2.
SP pots and Stones can get expensive for clerics..So im hoping everyone can come to terms to maybe this works for the cleric? Would also Prob Generate sales on Cleric items so Legels economy willbe boosted and maybe some prices will go down?
Give Opinions Please!

You can offer prices on your buffs, but most likely if you say you want money, the person will go find someone else that will give it for free.

Well as a cleric ALL I ask for is a 'Please' instead of plz/pls/pliss/pl0x/pl0xorz and whatnot. Most people can't even use a proper Please even after I asked them, how could I expect them to pay for the buffs too? XD But really, it's not necessary, but then if we spend our SP stones on them, they could be at least a bit more polite when asking for a buff :3
This is my opinion.

done rambling. No Im not gonna space this out or check for errors. Apologies in advance.
Well, I for one wouldn't care how you asked me for a buff as long as you did it with some manners. Plz is fine imho. As well as anything else. But not in the sense of you running up to a cleric adn just saying buff BUFF PLZ. Actually ask them. The way I ask is " so and so, would you mind giving me a buff?" Now if you have a problem with that.. then sure... I'll go find another cleric who doesn't. And as far as sp stones being used... its called a shroom, thatll take like 5 seconds out ur time xtra. but, I do get your point and do agree with most of your saying. My daddy always taught me "Son, Manners dont cost a thing, but they can get ya the world." I personally wish more people believed this. (specially since how true it can be)..

well like 1% of the people I've met so far (clerics) charge people for buff. 50% just buff you even you didn't ask for it. Nice people :)

If you kindly ask a cleric and don't use 'please' in your respect, it's also fine. What's more I'm glad to see that there are still players who take a little time to be polite towards those who can help them :)
Sorry for not stressing it out, please is NOT compulsory, but most people only say 'buff plz' and for please I meant as a substitution for plz/pls/pl0x etc.
" so and so, would you mind giving me a buff?" <-- this is absolutely polite and shows that you are a kind player. If we had an extra buff with a long cool time (so that we cannot constantly buff people with it) I'd totally give it to you :D
*buffs you for being awesome *
Thank you for being polite towards clerics :3
also
"Son, Manners dont cost a thing, but they can get ya the world." <-- this is so true and I wish too that more people would take it serious. Your father is truly a great and wise man :)

I could (should) charge 1s per buff xD
If they don't want to pay, they could find someone else, but they will only get +400-600 probably, vs my +1000 xD

i don't see why someone would need to charge for buffs.Sure it costs a cleric sp, but they dont need to buff.
the last thing i want to see is people spamming buff rates.
i've seen many charge ad every time it makes me nauseous. Next thing you know people will be charging for heals.

I will open a "Buy-a-Cleric" service.
One hour of heals, for questing, grinding, hunting, for the low low price of 500s.

See you all freak out.. SO obviously you don't have much experience while playing Online games. Because almost every game that you can get a "buff" They all charge you and this is the only game that I don't see anyone charging.
So relax :D

i would charge 50c.
That would pay for the stones, but since 60c is so small in this game, would be a waste of time to trade.

No one takes anyhting serious i see...Its only opinions and now everyone well 50c pay for stones and Sp pots. Hm see i think everyone now is a little greedy but yet its ok for ppl to charge a large amount for items that shouldnt even be. And when a Cleric asks for 1s? 2s? to buff you its the biggest deal omgg!

Simple manners should do the trick.
Having people pay for a buff is to time consuming.
Plus why be so difficult @___@ .
It's not like the entire server is asking for a buff at once.
So when you buff somebody just shroom, like less then 10 seconds to make up the lost sp ;].

All I'd charge for a buff is a please and a thank you.

This has always been my assessment when it comes to buffs.
They are only required for my party members, same can be said of res, and heal. I dont charge them for the simple fact that there's a mutual help going on. Anyone outside of that will have to be approved for a buff, this process can be expedited by paying, making me laugh, or the wife telling me to buff you.

If i don't feel like wasting stones, I tell people to go make thier own cleric and buff themselves. I just buff my friends, & guildies. lol No offense, rest of you can roll your own cleric ;D! hah. Not that i can't afford the sp stones lmao. just hate people standing in front of me going BUFF PLS BUFF PLS, then when im afk the whispers come BUFF PLS, itsl ike GAWD GO THE %#^%$^ AWAY. haha ill kill u later.:)

Hmm speaking of which anyone played Rappelz before? I had a lvl 80 cleric there and created a guild called "10kforbuffs" and the results are quite nice....some ppl stopped asking for buffs, some ppl actually do pay 10k per buff, and some ppl laugh at my guild name xD. But yeah I dont think this is gonna work as an 'official' thing everyone agrees on o.o just be nice and polite to the clerics ~

So relax :DI would say this about you, my dear
You got some experience in games where buffers charge for support..
In games I played, it would be taken as a light joke from their side (I used to not only buffs for free in lineage2, but recharge mana and heal all lower lvl players in the hunting grounds, and I went there just to do so)
to said more - you can charge me for buffs, but I will charge you in party too, for my use of stones if ya don't heal me regulary
and if you don't do a good job, I will just let all mob agro on you and stand there watching :]
you can heal yourself, other players have to use stones and potions - who there lose more money for them?
you wan't it like that?
In this game I just once asked for buffs - and it was a joke to a friend of mine, who only got party buffs on his lvl, and we were quiting this party anyway - so it dissapeared instantly :] though if I ask for buffs I do this politely and I think it's enough - the rest is a good will of a cleric
my thanks to all nice people who buffed me in the city :D though I usually discover this after some time and feel nicely surprised

I understand what your saying. Thing is what im saying though some ppl are just so kind and will buff you (in othergames that is)But alot of game ppl do charge... and if a cleric is in a party on this game its his job to heal the party..Isn't what you expect? its to help you heal..yeah you have your own stones but the Cleric should still be healing you..Stones are for emergency's. So i would automatically assume that the cleric is gonna heal the party..But Lets say in my case I usually did the tanking and the healing in my partys
For the record this is just asking a simple question is why dont we charge as Clerics..
For the record I don't Charge for Buffs..And I only buff people who ask nicely.. not BUFF PLS BUFF PLS...lmao and all those whispers.. BUFF ME NOW BUFF ME NOW I dont think so :D:rolleyes:

I personally think its twisted to ask for anything more than a please and thankyou for a buff, i mean are you really so greedy that you need to beg for money? i understand that pots etc get expensive but ask for a pot instead lol, really i mean if its that big a back breaker to you, just ask them for a pot to cover the Sp of the spell, alot better than being one of those jerks standing in eldy shouting "buffs 10s" and being ignored. ^.^

All I'm really going to say in this matter is:
You chose the support class.
Didn't get that? Okay hold on, I'll rephrase it with emphasis.
You chose the support class.
Not gonna support, go play a fighter.
