I would put my money on rogue most likely due to high dodge [if thats their build]
Don't forget the same class can have several different builds XD

Dang.... XD
Oh well, we have to say if there is a level cap to determine who may win, mind even high level Acolytes with big skills can be nasty. (Sylvina is scary)^_^

if its the first level of classes... the obvious would be the Mage. The mage has the distance and the high Nuke damage. I doubt many players from the same level could take 2-3 of those.
If its later in the game... then maybe the pred who will have high def and healing abilities though low dps.

i did realise a flaw with mage without pots, well he cant us MP pots. But i suppose he could kill fast enough before he runs out of MP. Then he can just leg it till he regens

lol he wouldnt have to if its a 1 on 1. The rogue would be dead before it got to him.
Mages are great for that fast and strong dps but fall behind in the long run. So 1 on 1 that mage will have the upper hand.

If the rogue goes invisible, then blindsight, the mage wouldent stand a chance.

this isnt WoW though. Mage and Rogue are the first set of classes. One on One the mage can get the attack off first. I am not quite certain a rogue has stealth that early in the game.

Actually that’s what i mean about invisibility, it means that the rogue will get the first strike as it can sneak into close combat while being invisible(invisibility is level 36 skill).
And then with blindsight(21), they can get a period of rapidly(doping, accuracy) bashing the magician without any retaliation, core blow poisons him, meaning health drain (nasty if playing with no pots), then blinding with sandstorm(46), and putting him to sleep with devils voice(if level 61). the magician will have high level skills that does a lot of dammage, but that doesn't help much if he's been put to sleep.
Naturally at level 21 it is a different story as the magician can freeze then blast the rogue while the rogue has to get into close combat.
This didn’t state the level in the poll, but in low levels the magician would likely win, but at higher levels the rogue would definutly dominate.
