Ok SOS is currently in Closed Beta.
Rumor's are that there is an Open Beta that will occur sometime soon.
Does this mean a character wipe?
Will Characters started in closed beta be able to be kept into the operational game?
Will characters I create during open beta or closed beta be deleted at some time in the future?
Someone please answer these questions as im not getting into SOS without an answer - Thanks! :)

Usually, well pretty much with every MMO their is a wipe for Closed Beta which is why you shouldn't level your character as high as you can. For Open Betas their usually aren't wipes because they usually transition pretty well into the final release.
Now being that you're character will most likely be wiped they'll probably toss everyone that was in CB a special item or something like that.

So, this is still closed beta? I mean the client server select or whatever says that, but I didn't think it was closed... cause I didn't get an invite or anything. I just visited the website (which was also being advertised) and made an account.
One possible idea: keep a test server for testing new systems, skills, areas, etc, and keep our old characters on that.

its is closed beta
however the website seems to let some people download the game but not all. It may be a glitch or something, the GM's havent said anything about it so we cant tell.

That sounds likely. I personally am a bit older than the usual crowd that plays this design of a game. But I guess I'm not like everybody else. I'm 23 yrs old, and I'm a graphic design artist, and web design artist. I personally like games like this, it attracts me to play longer, than games that look too real, because if it looks too real, it reminds me of reality, and I prefer to come home in the evening, and get on the game, and be all up in it, and enjoy myself. I don't want it to be stuffy, and just for adults, thats why I play games like this mostly. But I do play World of Warcraft, EverQuest 1 & 2, and many many more. I've been through just about every MMORPG there is, and I'm also into console games, and I've played just about every game for those too. I still have all of the old systems, and I have every system ever made. I consider myself a Hardcore Gamer. I love the games designed by Capcom, I grew up in the early 90's, was born in the 80's. Normal, reality, is boring, face it. Games like this is what makes life fun, think about it - That is if you think you have to.

What do you think the cutoff age is (if this is actually the case)? I'm 17 and the website let me download without an invite.
