I've been monitoring the votes all day. Hard to believe i was in first place once now i'm 6th :O anyways I expected more votes for Anime, and this Skeeter guy... no clue who that is. I was disappointed at first to see heavenz so low but now that he's up there go him, should have known it was all about the timing. There are still 6 and a half days left so let the voting continue. What's funny is how some people are making efforts to stuff the ballot... in the end Heroes of Xen are just a step down from the Council, they don't get any special powers or priveleges, in fact they will have to go out of their way even moreso once voted as Heroes, being expected to come to help battle mosters in city spawns and represent the community.

Spare time to grind? Not when GMs feel frisky. And yeah, Outspark shouldn't include any votes done by accounts made within the time this and the previous thread for naming heroes was up. (After all, they have the power to see that information ;))

It is what it is. Not many people are gonna vote on this and most don't really care, so it doesn't matter whether you win or not. This is an mmorpg no one really looks up to anyone or sees anyone as a hero. Everyone is just in it for the prize.

Im not here to argue with anyone about votes or what not. I will say that I dont see how anyone can not be considered hero worthy when all your doing is killing mobs. I initially nominated Skeeter. He's a warrior, and a really good person to know. He's always helping people in game, and everyone I know that knows him thinks very highly of him. I honestly didn't think he would make it into the top 10 because of everyone else who was in the running, but I guess that means he has a decent amount of friends out there. No, technically you dont have to be active on the forums in order to vote, but the role of the Heroes of Xen are to not only play a part in the story line for the game, but to be model players in the community. If it turns into a popularity contest then you'll be stuck 5 captains of the cheerleading team who sit there and look pretty for all to see.

It's all good. At the end of the day, all that matters is that everyone had fun, and I don't think we need a title or contest to do that. This is my first time being around for a Hox, but I imagine it's just a little something the GM's can use to throw a little flavor into our beloved community. There's no need for hate or flaming, and certainly no need for drama. Let's all go out and do what is intended and have some fun. I think daft said it all there. True, for most people, this may be a popularity contest, and for a lot of the contenders, it probably was. However, if you notice, there's usually a reason for a person being popular in this game, and it usually has to do with how successfully you interact with other players. Part of that is helping new players and friends as much as you can. Wardomic makes some incredible guides, Heavenzcloud is always helping people by picking up some of the IG slack for the GM's, and this is just to name a couple. Everyone is a hero in this game in their own right. Like I said in my previous post, it doesn't take a title or recognition to have fun. As for me, nothing changes with a title. I'm still going to play the game for fun and enjoy helping everyone in need. Some people need to realize that this concept is what sets this game apart from many other MMO's on the market. It's not the game that makes this so amazing, but the people that give life to the lines of code we call SoS.

In anycase, Congrats to the nominees that will be up for the Heroes of Xen event. We all got to remember that this event is about TEAM work. Just because 5 people got "chosen" to be recognized, doesn't mean that you all can't be heroes yourselves and take a stand up in the awakening. And on that note, this is a game.
