View Full Version : respawning in Uru from high lvl maps

Why does fiesta respawn us in Uru when it's much more logical to respawn us in AR? If we are in the surrounding maps and you really have to get to these maps via AR, why does it respawn in Uru? It's a pain in the behind to be respawned alllllllll the way back in Uru. T.T I know the AR scroll market is making out but really! ;_;

this was brought up a few times
all the maps are like that
if you die on a map between roumen and elderine, you spawn in roumen
if you die on a map between elderine and uruga, you spark in elderine
if you die on a map between uruga and alberstol ruins, you spawn in uruga
(with the exceptions of dieing on the mini-town maps forest of mist/sand hill...
i'm sure when the time comes, if you die between alberstol ruins and bera, you'll spawn in alberstol, meaning you'd have the trip to bera to contend with.
it's been like that throughout the game, so i doubt it will change, and there's not much reason for it to really, as it's only a convenience thing vs a life threatening bug :>

well, at least maps not b/w Uru and ABR respawn you to ABR don't they?

i don't mean physically between, i mean zonewise, although, after uruga, it's pretty much the same thing. there are no maps "not b/w uru & abr" that are not before uru
the "uruga" zone would be dark passage 1, uruga, ancient elven woods, forest of slumber, burning rock, flaming mine, swamp of dawn, temple of spirit
the "alberstol ruins" zone would be alberstol ruins, and any new maps they add in the next "US version" grand update up to, but not including, bera

I was wondering about this lastnight. I get how the respawn thing works but its such a hassle to end up dieing from lag in SoD and then either walk back to SoD the long way or scroll to AR. Thats part of the reason I dont like to grind hours on end, the long walk sucks.

oh i knew that already.guess i didn't make myself clear.I actually meant the zones that need you to pass through Aberstol Ruins first before you can got to Uraga.

the respawn was set in place to keep low level characters (such as characters that are not supposed to be in those areas or scamers or what have you) out of the higher level areas. now if you have a group of high level characters lead you through the maps then there probably leading you through it to plvl you (depending on your level). anyways the point is it keeps new players from getting stuck in the higher level areas and not having a way back to the town thy just left.

it's a good argument to not treat clerics like "buff only" machines at 90+
it's the hardest class to level after level 90 (yes, i'm equating hardest with slowest) in a solo environment.
the only clerics that get high at these levels have very specific duo partners, and 9 times out of 10, the other partner will refuse to work with any other cleric, cause you know, levelling buddies
take a random cleric with you when you take over SoD or BR, yes, you have to share exp, but you wouldn't have to travel for 25 minutes to get back there, and it would save you a fortune in hp pots. that way, you'd be helping someone else and making friends
and i say take a random cleric, obviously of a similar level to you, and don't always take the same cleric. most clerics stop levelling at 9x for this very reason, and it means that when people really need them, they aren't high enough, or they just prefer to be on their alts

Because if you could get to SOD and spawn in AR, we would have gold spammers and stuff in AR. Everyone would do that ot get there for free and before their lvl time.
Besides, thinking logically, when youre exploring something, or travelling down a path, you cant suddenly jump over part of a path to reach the next town. You can go back, you can go to the previous town and start to the new one again. But you cant skip part of the path.
Personally I like how every map (or most) until you get to the "new town" sends you to the previous one.
Tho I think LS1 and CP1 need to be changed PRONTOOOOO because the gold spammers just use those to get there, trust me, Ive followed quite a few (at least using ls1 to get to eld)

Yeah, you apparently DON'T play on Legel server. I've wasted more roars than I can care for and have yet to find a "free" cleric. They don't exist in this server yet. All high lvl clerics are married to their tankies and anyway, when I do find a cleric (usually via pting with said tankie ;P) I still die at least once an hr being a mage.
And if it's the maps from Eldy to Uru, why do you respawn in Uru when you die in CP1?

but that would clearly have a slight exception to some rules as there are fewer high level players than any other server
it's not hard ot make friends on any server though
and i did say that "mainly" the eldy to uru maps are like that, but DP1, DP2, the Dungeons, LS1&2, CP1&2 are the exceptions to the rules, as they aren't primary maps.
and dp1 is part of the 'uruga' zone anyway, but it serves no home to any quests, it just has extra monsters for grinding spots and those that like to build licenses, or farm materials, just as dp2 does - they are additional maps to the game, that if removed would still allow everything to still work.

Maybe I didn't understand right, but... I've done like 5 quests in DP I. Karasian templars, des harkens, archons, pinkies, pixies. Huge quests, and DP is the best spot for them =).
