I'm a man, but I would never ever play male characters in his game. The girls are so sweeeeet XD (Just look at how a cleric or archer sits! I could cry for cuteness!). Guess if there was a Catgirl-Set in the Fiesta Shop I would invest a lot of money in this game. XD
Dunno why, but I'm almost always mistaken as a girl myself. Although I often bluntly say what I think. :p But on the other hand I often make new encounters with girls in Fiesta. :D (... and recently masses of Germans [Outet euch!]).

Well, I happen to be a Girl but I tend to focus more on the character and the gender of the character rather than on the player at the keyboard.
But even the GMs play as different genders even though you may never get them to admit it.
Actually there is no way of knowing for certain if a GM (or anyone else) is really a man playing a female character or a woman playing a male character and quite frankly I don't have a problem with that at all.
Just my opinion.

The quoted text is a great example why women have chosen to play as male characters in-game. You have 12 year olds screaming "I want a gf plz" or "Can I get your email?" As soon as they hear 'girl' or 'female'.

Where I'm from, finding a girl that likes to game, is kinda rare. Everyone else around my parts are too into what's hip. If I hear something about someone playing a game that normally doesn't play games, WoW pops up ( Or sports games) and I leave the subject.

Personally i play as a guy in any game i play. I have seen some good reasons for playing as female though. In UO years ago people did it because people tended to be nicer to female chars and give them free stuff.

In FPS games people have for years believed that since the female chars were smaller their hit box was smaller and harder to hit so lots of guys played women for that advantage alone.

Men still tend to be nicer to chars they think are female, it is just a natural reaction.

I'm a feminist but as someone before said, this is a RPG, a Role-Play-Game, so you can (and that's the biggest plus for those games) play any character including any gender you like or just want to play out of fun!
