honestly in my opinion u guys are idiots. clerics jobs are to heal and help out others(also if ur a fighter just dont spam heal or the one i hate "rez rez rez me now u moron rez me u stupd idiot" makes me so mad) just ask nicely and ill heal u we all should. if ur in the handfull of ppl who dont want to heal others switch classes, and dont just cheat ur way up to high lvls because u can spam heal urself. seriously think about it.

the truth is that ALL the classes rely on eachother. sure, we CAN solo, but its easier and more fun in a party.

Am I going to lose sleep because I didn't stop to heal, buff, transport, powerlevel, and give up my own free time to help YOU? Nope. Because I've learned that I am a cleric and its my own powers to use or abuse. I choose to walk that thin line.

The truth in life is you can't please everyone. Guess what happens online? Exactly that: you can't please everyone. Ask Dakkon or Kalaan or any of the Outspark staff, they know it firsthand on a daily basis. That's why I don't lose sleep if you get pissed off that I don't revive you or heal you or powerlevel you or whatever because I'm a high level cleric.

I hear the wind is coming from the north. Be sure to face that way when you take a leak next time for that is the results that will come from telling clerics how to do their job.

If you don't like what I do, then YOU go make another character and do what you want that class to do according to your views. Not everyone thinks, acts, and cares like you.

while it's true that you don't have to heal every single dead warrior you happen upon, it's your job to heal, not to tank. If someone catches me in a bad mood, and demands that I heal them, I'll laugh and tell them where to shove their demand. Clerics can heal, but they can also fight, that's why the developers gave us maces and hammers. We're half-warrior and half-healer, so we should use these two TOGETHER, not one of them one day and the other the next. If you tell a cleric to heal you, they may or may not do as you asked. This thread is getting to be flame-bait, and I hope that you guys can settle this before it's delteted.

thats also ONLY when your in a party. Solo your all about yourself. if im soloing in a higher level area, the chances of me randomly healing drop. Ill usually rev though if im not busy, but not if it endangers me.

Two things I ask of people, when I can, in regards to buffs/heals/revives.

1) Don't ask for it while I'm fighting for my life or engaged in battle. Isn't it obvious I can't stop and help right now? I'd like to buy a clue for 10c Bob!

2) Don't ask for it while running around like a speed adrenaline pumped midget on crack. I can't heal/buff what I can't target. :3


Yes, I've actually had both of those scenarios in the past 7 days. I managed to write a polite reply to #1 but #2 failed to get anything because they wanted something but wouldn't stand still for it.

Lmao, I find this funny... Because 9 time out of 10, I can heal and fight at the same time. And I do more damage and TAKE more damage then alot of the Fighters Ive partied with. The only reason Im not a main tank is because I dont have kick. So instead I get a fighter, and heal him while Im fighting. Its not that hard, but if your at a boss or some really high lvl area, dont be an idiot clerics and HEAL. But if your in a place where your tank can take 2or3 hits without a constant heal, then fight while healing. Unless your an idiot, then just stand back and press the same button over and over again.

People r crazy on here. I play my cleric frequently and i dnt mind healing people. Most of the people i heal say something bck like "ty" or "thanx" something llike that. But some people r just assholes and just ignore u. U cant do anything about that, I just choose not to heal them again. Just saying that if u r nice to clerics, they might heal u more often.

I joined cleric to help people. But I need to level up to do my job better too. Will healing give me exp? (I'm new to this)
But yes, if you are in a party and need healed, stand still so I can do it., and if my hot keys get stuck and I"m being slayed cause my defense is nearly nill and monsters are on top of me, please bail me out. :o)

I understand the first quote to be that a tank in a party should not have to ask for a heal...
The cleric should already know that is their role...
Especially if they are tanking a boss or large "mobs" [mobs=multiple targets]

My pet hate is some random player aggro's far more than they can handle, then drags the whole lot over to you (while you're fighting your own mobs) and expects you to heal them then has a go at you because you didn't heal them.

Well, don't aggro more than you can handle for a start, running around like a headless chicken while trying to find a cleric is only going to cause you to aggro more mobs onto you, learn to use combo heals of pots/stones/spells. In one instance, I was fighting about 7 mobs....when a random decided to add 5 of his own to the deal (and I wasn't even in party with them at the time). Do you think that my priority lies with healing you...or me in that circumstance???

Sorry if that sounds rude, but I've played healer chars in a lot of different mmo's and the same thing always happens. I have no problems with chucking a heal on other players and I do it quite often....but please don't drag all your aggro onto me when I'm fighting my own.

My advice is to ASK (politely...doesn't take much to type "heal plz" even if you're fighting at the same time) someone to heal you.....please and thank-you go a long way and you're more likely to get a heal by being polite than demanding, aggro'ing and abusing the nearest healer.

first of all, you should probably try creating a cleric before posting a complaint thread about clerics in the clerics section....

second, it sounds as if you would like all clerics to be heal slaves. (while this may be fun for you when you're fighting, it's horrendously boring for a cleric)

third, i wasn't aware that using our ability to heal ourselves was a way to "cheat".... (it took the same amount of time to level my mage to 33 as it did to level my cleric to 33)
