Error messages?

I highly doubt I did something to cause this, but here is my issue.

The following information should help you understand what happened to me, upon starting up the game, as it tried to auto patch itself.

As you can see, it never listed where that file is suppose to be, but I found the file on my system, and put it in every folder that I thought it should be in, and still no luck.

There has got to be something I can do to fix this. I notice there are alot of posts about errors, but none like this one, and ZERO of them ever get answered by anyone that knows what they're talking about.

I really hope someone will help with this, and everyone else's errors too. If not then I doubt the game will be played.... it sounds like just about everyone has a problem with this.

No ones perfect, I know that. I just hope it gets resolved. There should be a phone number to talk to somebody for support on Technical Issues and other things, as well as an email address for each type of problem, for each department. It isn't very professional.... no offense.

Hopefully someone that works for the business, will contact me via this message and discuss this with me, and help me figure it out, and fix it.

My guess is, that the original file is corrupted. If thats not it, then maybe the file never was there, and the one I found, was created but not really accessible, if you know what I mean.

I'll take some time to try and figure this out, but I still doubt I can fix it, without someone that knows this client and its files, very well, like I do with Ragnarok Online's Client, and files.

Edit: I think I know what it is. It isn't compatible with Windows ME, which my step dads PC has on it. My PC on the other hand, has Windows XP, but I'm not home right now. When I get home I'll try it out on my PC, and see how it works. I think I can make it compatible without problems for Windows ME though, I'll just need some time.

We are aware of the issue, and are currently working on a fix for this issue.

I have a work around that i used at home....

If the patch is not successful, keep trying until it work. It took me 5-8 times at home before it finally worked. The patch is timing out when contacting our server. This work around is a force install work around. It may or may not work. This work around is also not 100% gurantteed to work, but you may want to try it.

Thanks for replying, I'll give that a try. But its probably best I don't do it on this PC, mine probably would work much better than this one. This computer is my step dads, and it runs off of Windows ME, thats old but he won't upgrade. I have 7 other PCs at home that run off of various different OS. I am going to try this on all of those computers, until one works. Thanks, I appreicate the help. I also look forward to playing, very much. I'm quite bored of the other games I've been playing for several years now.

I tried that and while the patching seemed to work, once it finished it still threw the very same error message (the check outspark.exe.log one)

And btw, that says:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "outspark.py", line 6, in <module>
ImportError: No module named OskRest


I even tried installing fiesta first, but the same thing happened.


Any help would be appreciated as I really want to play the game

That is a Fiesta Patch, it says so in the title of it. I'm not trying to play Fiesta, but if its the only way to get the other game to work, then so be it.

Also it seems like the Fiesta installs itself with the other game, on its own. I found it in the list, but I didn't choose to install the game. They both should be seperate installs.

Take a look at how www.ragnarokonline.com does theirs, you'll see what I mean, it is a very similar game.

I'm a Graphic Design Artist, and Web Design Artist. Thats what I do for a living, it isn't THAT much different than Game Design though, I guess.... I'm no expert coder, but I can code just about anything.

At least for me, that changed nothing :(

And btw, I still dont really se why a fiesta patch should help a SoS problem... to use that patch you need to actually have fiesta installed (I downloaded and installed it to see if it would make any diference, it gave the same problem) as it shouldn't be a preqisite for playing SoS
