I'm talking about entrap[01] skill...Same damage when my HG wep was +9 and same now when it's +10. Many People told me it's magic dmg, but I just founded stupid though I tested yesterday with my friend, he is lvl 94 fighter with relatively low MDEF.
Before he put on magic defense scroll, entrap hit him 500-600 dmg, after he put on on magic def. scroll dmg decreased down to 300-400.
Basicly what I say that entrap is already an utterly useless skill due to low damage...but it's also INT based????
CAn it get any worse now? Not to mention it gets bugged 1day after maintance

Doesn't Entrap stop your target from moving? I think THAT is more important than the dmg it does >.>

Actually, you should pay more attention to all skills. No one else bothers to read the old time players threads that prove such things.
For example, have you ever pvp'd a fighter or a cleric? When they use skills on you such as bash or slice'n'dice, then damage number shown in YOUR window is green, the SAME as magical damage done by mages or spell casting mobs.
But heres the kicker. No one of those classes puts free stat int into thier builds. Its really not been done to test as far as i know. So theres never been an unproven or provent precedent for this. It does specify that magical attack damage is increased by int, but the skills themselves seem to blur the lines a bit. That is why I'm leaving the int skill stats flexible for now.
The trick is, when someone hits you with a skill, sometimes it appears the same color (the damage number) as a mages attack will. Sometimes not. Im not sure, I dont pay attention.
The whole things with skills is, does it just add damage, or does it use MAGIC damage to deal a skill, since a skill is a special technique.
So dont go getting mad at OS for you not noticing it.. Thats why some fighters claim having Int on their gears helps (When you get those pants that are like.. lv 78 end 36, int 36, spr 36 -- and they claim the int helps). It actually has some standing.

You're talking about Bind/Entangle
Entrap/Trap is the follow thing that explodes when people go near it..when its not bugged
@RikoRain : How you prove that then the DMG went radically down after he used MDEF scroll? And as I said I hit him same dmg when my wep was +9 and when it was +10?? O.O

By sheer coincidence. You've only stated ONE trial. Well.. My lvl 60+9 xbow gives 289~376(+420) dmg... And, for example, my Power Shot [06] gives 1870-2084 dmg.
That gives me a total dmg range, with power shot [06] of: 2579-2880. A difference of 301. So within two hits, I CAN have different mumerical dmg show up. And at a higher lvl (post prestige), I bet the difference is quit a bit more.

Did you also try without armor.
Without any scrolls whatsoever.
With a def scroll instead.
Using Vitality multiple times.
You putting on higher int gear.
I personally think there is a WIDE array of different tests that need multiple trials before you can jump to such a hasty assumption.

I don't think all those factors matter when we are talking a 2-300 drop in damage. As long the equips the fighter was wearing were kept constant, and the only thing that is being tested is the effect of the magic def scroll then something has to be afoot. Yes, no one attacks with the same consistent damage, but I have never seen an attack with a disparity in the upwards of 200 after each use.

I loved entrap in FBZ, then it got bugged, fixed and a day later bugged again.
I noticed the extreme low dmg on it, but I had no idea it's a magic attack xD that's pretty strange indeed.
When the skill gets fixed.... will it ever get fixed? D= I'm gonna play around with it too :P

I did explain how he did less damage when the other guy put on a mdef scrolls. Read below again, I will quote it a second time.
For example, have you ever pvp'd a fighter or a cleric? When they use skills on you such as bash or slice'n'dice, then damage number shown in YOUR window is green, the SAME as magical damage done by mages or spell casting mobs.

If colors are consistent, then this means some SKILLS are actually mdmg, and not dmg. Its only on certain skills tho, and Im not sure if it happens each time. This means that mdef scrolls WILL help against pvping when someone is using a WOWload of skills.
