I just downloaded SoS and wheneveri try to start it says see the logfile
'C:\Program Files\Outspark\Launcher\outspark.exe.log for details. Plz i want to play really badly:confused:

If you open the log file and it says something like this:

You are stuck along with many other people, myself included.
From what I can tell, the updater may be trying to do something with the other Outspark game, Fiesta, and attempts to reference a file that does not exist.

I'm going to try dl'ing and installing Fiesta..

Let it auto-patch
Run SoS

I just tried downloading fiesta and that didn't work either.

...not again....fiesta patched till version 70 and then crashed with the same error...

only a dif thing appeared before the "oksrest" messages

installing fiesta after i had solstice installed worked for me.

lvl 26 rogue now ^^

here's my method:
dl solstice
dl fiesta
install solstice, let all patches run and get the error
install fiesta, let the patch and watch carefully at the messages of checking updates at the bottom corner of the patch window. when it says, checking updates for fiesta, immediately close the window. Run solstice and you should get a message that it couldnt connect to the patch server, and then you can login ^^.

We are aware of the issue, and are currently working on a fix for this issue.

I have a work around that i used at home....

If the patch is not successful, keep trying until it work. It took me 5-8 times at home before it finally worked. The patch is timing out when contacting our server. This work around is a force install work around. It may or may not work. This work around is also not 100% gurantteed to work, but you may want to try it.

how do u recharge your mover in fiesta, i just bought a wooden horse and it started at 100/1000 and when it hit 0 it moved even slower than i walked.

I'm starting to think that SoS runs from old Korean Ragnarok Online files, because this happens alot with kRO when trying to play a Private Server of it. They are very similar.

With Ragnarok the solution I always found was, that the files were currupt upon downloading, and when they were installed, it missed a file, or some files. So I always tried different sources and got better results.

I dunno exactly whats going on, but I know I'm close to it. I think it has to do with files be saved in the wrong place, if the files aren't missing in the first place. The file that it says is missing, they should post it seperatly, and explain where to save the file to, so the client will find it, upon updating the game.

I'm gonna suggest it, in the Suggestions section, look for my post, and watch it.

The issue with the launcher can be resolved by manually downloading and installing the patch. Please save to your desktop, and install it from your desktop. Here is a link that will help.

its not run from old KRO files, that'd be copyright and illegal

its run from the same engine RO was based off of
