OS changed the look of shields in this last patch...+9 shields are now purple with wings and +8 shields look like old +7s! They stole my wings!!

Is this a glitch or is this permanent?

Okay, now that the fun rant is over, serious question: Is the switch of the +8/+9 look intentional and permanent or will they be switching back? I don't want to buy +9 shields only to have them go back to their old look.

It's intentional, +9 +8 and +7 all look different now. I'm on a man hunt for +5 and +6 as we speak...well, type, not really speak.

Oh, and there are no +10 shields yet, unless they got added with the latest maint.

I believe it was mentioned in the thread about +10s last week that shields were included in the list of things able to go to +10 and "weapons" was meant to show that armor and accessories were stuck at +9...I'll look for that later

she's wrong in that post - I believe she admitted so later on saying that she quoted what was said to her by the programmer or the folks at OOS.

She also said she'd look into it - I just wish she'd given a timeline for it.

I went on my newby cleric who has a +6 sheild and its still the same so its safe to say +5 is the same still too

I'll be honest with you, I was told that we could +10 the shields so I posted accordingly.

Players have said it's not possible so I've since changed my posts to indicate that. Now I'm getting other responses.

I'll look into it and see if I can get you guys an answer as soon as possible. Trust me, I find it just as frustrating.

No, shields cannot go to +10 in any conventional manner, at least not yet. First they said yes, then they said no.

I've not been given a timeframe as of yet to when it will be available.

I've seen it actually, and to be honest it looks pretty cool. Don't think I can post a screenie.

My bf spent hundreds of dollars enhancing both our 40 and 50 weapons and shields (he's a fighter I'm a cleric) and when he asked me if I wanted to be +9 on all my

gears I said NO. I WANTED the WINGS ON MY SHIELD. Now the option to +9 isn't even available to me and YOU TOOK MY FREAKING WINGS!

this is BS like my gf said i put alot of cash to get our gear to 8+ cuz we liked the 8+ effc. Then they f it up with what looks like a combo of a 9+ and 8+ and to top it off you cant see the shield's design. i still see a lot of bugs that need to be fixed but w/e i guess fiesta is not to worried about the bugs and wrorried more about how to bring in more money but just ADDING new items to the game thx fiesta -.-

Well if the intent was to make the one with better looks to have better defense, then give +8 the look of current +9 and +9 the look of old +8...the old +8 looked a lot better to me than the ugly purple/red glow/white wing combo....ew...I know I'd buy the enhancement bundle to get rid of that ugly purple underglow

good point. i know the game can be played with npc gears. i +'d my gears for the LOOK.

and +9 now looks like a discombobulated mess of different enhancement levels.

maybe someone could give a bit of an enlightened response as to WHY the wings were raped off the +8 to stick on the effect of a (i think) +3 or 4 shield?

I really like the new +9 look. I've always liked the wings and now I have them on my +9 sheild. Also, I like the pink/purple glow effects, so the combo is something I really like.

+7 is new, looks like...electrical. And +8 looks like the old +7 look, the red/orange swirl.

nope, I and several people on this thread -and many I know in game that had +8 shields (the winged fighters/clerics werre few and proud), and even some that did not have refined shields, think that the old +8s looked better than the new +9s.



...though personally...I think the old +9s look better than the new +9s...and I thought the old +9s were an eyesore...

yeah i loved the old 8 look but thx to all this its gone and it messed up with the 9 spent a bit of cash on our gear just hope they do fix it. Its like u ask for somthing to get fixed they give u a whole new other thing beside the one thing you or other wanted fixed -.-

if you think about it fiesta isnt so free to play anymore they seem to find new ways to bring in cash as to looking at the bug reports. I see more cash items then new areas and when the new areas do come out it takes them a while
