How hard is it being a mage

Well my laptop broke so i haven't played fiesta in a year. I have a lvl 20 mage. I really wanted to lvled it but is it super hard. i like to solo so is a mage good for me?:confused::confused::confused:

Well, solo is already made difficult for mages because of our low Def/HP. If you want to solo, be ready to spend a lot of cash to deck yourself out with full +9s and on top of that charms/extenders to keep up with other classes. It is much easier to just find a similar-leveled cleric friend to grind with. If you really like to solo though, I'd recommend an archer if you like to AoE giant mobs alone or fighter because of the huge Def/HP that allows you to stay in the field for long periods of time without restoning and they also need less SC maintenance.

There's a reason why this game is called Fiesta, which means 'party'. You're supposed to team up :)

for me being a mage is not like that, a mage like all now is very hard to lvl up
but if somebody now to combinate the ppower, i meen that you have to now what magic use first and so on

this is a great advantage because you can grind for a longer period of time then you can a mage.
In my opinion mages are one of the hardest classes because of their low hp and defense.
Now archer is also one of the best simply because you can slap on a speed scroll and kite away lol

it is very costly to solo a mage :) I tried but I could not keep up with all the money I had to spend for my mage to make him solo-able. I failed D: so I decided to get a cleric and become a duo :)

It's my advice to you: get to know a cleric and stick with the cleric for duo. It is the best way for both of you to level up faster :)

Im a mage that is always soloing except I use friends to mob 6x but solo 7x and my quests. Made it to 7x soloing so far but it is getting harder and I would love to have a cler partner. If you like soloing try a fighter like they said for the large hp/stones or you could be an archer so that at level 51 you can solo abyss without sc. Good luck =)

Must say that I do love to solo as well, but in those long periods of time where you have to do repeats its just not efficient to solo when other people need the same mobs. Partying is a win-win situation; you get your quests done faster, and your exp/hr rate increases pretty dramatically. Of course, the best combination is still the SC-happy mage + cleric buddy for life.

No, make a archer to solo. Once you can kite use a speed scroll and you can solo forever.

its not that hard if you buy your gears ahead of time but then you have to have some sort of currency to back you up.

I solo alot and only party with people i trust. It's hard at times but you get used to it and come up with ways to do it. I love mages better than my cleric which is still sitting at 70.

It just takes patience and dedication.

Mages are worth it if you can push it to 60. Soloing is hard yea, and very slow, but possible. I've been a +0 mage since I started, and I've always just pulled things 1 by 1. At level 60 you can get a party a little easier for your aoes...just stick it out lol
