Making mage first time... suggestions?

Hey, i have just made a mage for the first time, he seems very weak but people say they will become great. So i want to continue on making him but before i start is anyone willing to give suggestions as to getting started, leveling, and point distribution? Please help.

Well, You can choose to be pure SPR or Pure INT or combo it and do a little of both ( I am)


AND

Empower Megic missile with cool down first. then fully power up your fire bolt with the power increase empowerment. Save the rest for Purge and Mana burn and max out the cool downs on those. Trust me, you'll be PvP god if you do that( As long as you have the skill to do it =/)


oh and heres a tip, Level 1 fire bolt and magic missile are you bestest friends in the whole wide world.
