that's related to Outspark! Use your crafting and/or drawing skills, decorate it, and take a picture!

What I'm looking for:
Incentive! Picking something difficult to do?
Kudos to you, you will get + plus from me for sure!

Effort! I can see the hard work you put into these projects!
Hard work will always be appreciated! Making drawings come to life? Amazing...

Creativity! Not only are you looking accurate to actual models
(Characters or logos, etc.), you're going beyond what's expected? That's great!

Rules:
* Two entries maximum per person (Amazing drawings? Complete room decorated for the win?)
* Each picture at least 800W x 300L,
and as many pictures as you want to show us what you did on your decoration!
* Photos only! No digitization except to fix lighting!
* Non-animated
* Optional: Show your progress, I'd love to see!
* Use anything! Plastic, cardboard, make-up, glitter, leaves, etc.!
* Posting on other threads will not count
* Do not violate the Terms Of Service

Since we are not allowed to draw I think 3D modelling isn't okay either. Just real life photos and no photoshopping or anything digital (except for fixing the light).

The Journy Of The King Slime.....

King Slime got bored of getting killed by noobs... He wanted to see more from the world!
For that, he came to my house! and visit some nice things.

First he putted up a christmas tree! together with some kids and the santa ^_^

A fiesta character as an angel on top of a christmas tree ^_^ My family doesn't celebrate xmas though =( so I wont be able to get a picture on a tree @.@

Anyway, here goes: 1 picture (taken at 10pm with lights in my bedroom on, on the floor, with my shadow probably over it)

Story: A beautiful angel cleric sits atop the christmas tree, casting a skill that makes everyone around her safe from monsters. Her silver wings and her white magical shield glow blue, symbolising purity. She has a beautiful golden glow all around her, and will brighten up your christmas tree when she is placed on top ^^

yup. Too bad, I wanted to bake some Honeying gingerbread cookies and take a photo of them under the Xmas tree with some Fiesta Decoration (printed and put on the tree).

... But since the deadline came over I went back to drawing -as much as my freetime allowed it next to my end terms- ... and I am actually done with my entry... it came out really good actually :3 ... you guys will so hate me for posting again ;_; ...

And really, I feel horrible for entering MVPs ... I want to compete and win, then again I don't want to continuously steal the prizes from you guys ;_; ... though I do wonder what the next MVP will be after there for the last weeks of this year X3

... I wonder whether traditional drawings coloured by photoshop count at all ... if they don't then I just wasted like 3-4 hours of drawing instead of studying XD I love how I act first and think second all the time...

...and if it's really that way, oh well... not like I could do anything else in my current situation... can post the lineart too/instead if needed (since it's non digital) ...

again, if it happens to be the case and my entry cannot be accepted it's okay. I don't blame anyone else besides myself and I wanted to draw that picture anyway ;3

Here are two ornaments I made and the steps I did.

First I had to get my oven-bake clay out:

I made a slime first out of the purple clay, making a ball and a small disc, then molding and shaping them together to get the slime shape.

I then took some gray clay, rolled it flat, and used an x-acto knife to cut it to shape. Then I wrapped it around the bottom of the slime.

Next I smoothed it around the bottom and added some bolts for details. I also used some white clay to make the face.

Then I added a red X on it's forehead and inserted a wire loop for hanging. Slimey was ready to bake.

I next worked on a Speedy Honeying. I used glitter clay for it. I mixed some white and yellow clay together and shaped the body and head.

Then I mixed together some white with a tiny bit of green and yellow clay to make the hair and wings. I also added white to the tips of the ears.

I used the tip of a pen to add some extra texture to the wings for a scaley effect. I then added the little brown spots. Idk if they're feet or buttons, but they're cute anyways. :D

I then rolled out some very thin strips of black to make the racing stripes and facial expressions.

I then stuck the head on the body, inserted a wire hanger, and he was ready to bake. I placed both in a glass baking dish and baked for about 40 minutes.

Awww, thanks. I actually had planned to make a Kebing. I'll try to do that one tonight. I also wanted to make all of the different types of Slimes, but there won't be time for them to be done for the contest.

If my characters would be alive, and I wouldn't have these nasty exams all week long, this is what we would do now.

The girl with brown hair and glasses is me ;P Obviously drawing something again XD haha I can't stop drawing :)

The boy with goatee behind me is my lovely boyfriend. <3

The black haired girl with the gingerbread cookies is my main cleric, Tsubaki (lvl 50). Without having her hair tied up here ;P -so pretty-

The boy with blue hair behind Tsu is BlackStar, her hubby and the main fighter of my boyfriend (also lvl 50).

The blonde girl decorating the tree is my 'youngest' character, Claire the fighter (just recently reached lvl 20 with her).

The girl with greyish green hair and red eyes is Tiamath, my mage (lvl 33), she's using her magic for lighting candles ;)

The boy with greyish green mohawk is Lokken, Tia's mage hubby and also belongs to my boyfriend.

Last but not least the grumpy looking girl with pink hair is my archer, Arisha (lvl 40) .


This is our little Fiesta Family, decorating the Christmas tree together -^_^- Hope you enjoy it -and I hope it's a valid entry, if not, it's okay-.

This is my entry. I made my cleric like doll. same type of eyes(blue and green) and hair style also specially She is wearing the white Santa dress same as my cleric.She is sitting on a Santa's gift bag, you can see some gifts fallen out from it. And snow (which is Styrofoam board balls)scattered on the ground. Then to make it more colorful I used different color Garlands,led light balls and glittering pink table cloth.

These are some of the items I used to make the doll and also the parts of the doll before stitching them together.

Hehehe, that's pretty. Those ornaments are fun to make. Maybe just for fun I'll make one of my beaded ornaments using Fiesta colors. It would not have any obvious tie-in to Fiesta, but they're so pretty.

This is my entry. I made my cleric like doll. same type of eyes(blue and green) and hair style also specially She is wearing the white Santa dress same as my cleric.She is sitting on a Santa's gift bag, you can see some gifts fallen out from it. And snow (which is Styrofoam board balls)scattered on the ground. Then to make it more colorful I used different color Garlands,led light balls and glittering pink table cloth.



The doll is a good idea. I love the Santa bag and all those gifts falling out!

Awww, that came out really good! I like it!

I finally finished my Kebing. He took a lot longer to make than the first two. I put a bit more detail into him. Here's the pics of the process for the Kebing:

First, I had to lighten up the green clay by mixing in some white. Feels like it takes forever to get them blended together well. Good exercise for my hands, though. :D

I molded his head, body, and arms out of the green. I also inserted wires into the arms to make them stand up and also add support.

Then I rolled out a thin sheet of white clay and wrapped it around the body for his robe.

I rolled out a sheet of gray clay and carefully cut the zigzag pattern from it for the bottom of the robe. Then I molded the hat out of yellow clay and added an orange snake around the edge for detail. I also used the pen tip again to give the hat a scaly appearance.

Last, I molded eyes from a pale blue mix and cut out teeth from a thin sheet of white. I put them on and inserted the wired arms into the side of the body, bending them just a little to look like the Kebing's scare pose.

This is an insert to a snow globe :3
The snow globe is mounted on a wooden base that has a silver plaque (is that the word?) that is ingraved with "Christmas time in Fiesta" The snow globe has a small wind up thingy on the bottom of it and when you turn it it plays the chipmunk's version of "Christmas, Christmas time is here, time for joy and time for cheer...."

This is a mix of real items that I took a photo of and of digital items added in photoshop.

Due to the lack of time I wasn't able to make the clay monsters for my idea so I just made them in photoshop. ;(

The present boxes are made out of scraps of moving boxes. I'm moving at the moment lol...

I painted the boxes and the sky thingy. ~gasp~ Its the first time in a looooong time that I actualy used real paint lol photoshop is cheaper than buying all the different colors of paint.

Snow drop thingies were added in photoshop

The chipmunk is real :3

The fluffy snow stuff on the floor is actually my chipmunk's bedding lol

I used my shirts to do this cute sack ^^ , First i used the scissors to cut my shirts, then sewed the xmast hat and the bottom&top of the sack ( so the socks inside cant scape ;p), then i made the green thing and sewed the ears ;p. Took me about 4~5 hours :o

Here are the progress pictures of my entry (don't want to edit the original post as today is the deadline).

First I drew the sketch, did the lineart over it, ereased the sketch and scanned the picture. Once I had it on my laptop, I set the brightness and contrast to fix it, added a background layer below it (coloured it in brown) and set the picture (non background)layer to 'multiply'. Thus instead of the white I could see the brown bg under the lines, and any other colour that I would add between the two layers.

I usually start with the skin and hair when colouring. I did the shading too (although I usually leave it to the end) because I was in hurry (as I was supposted to study and not draw :D ) with the help of locking layers and with the polygonal lasso tool (use it for selecting the area that I want to colour or shade for example). The next step was the pets and attires.

Once done with them, I moved to the objects around them: the ladder and the tree mostly. Of course their layers are under the other colour layers. Once done with the tree and the ladder, I moved to the ornaments and light effects (candle, steam)

Finally I finished the background and seached the picture for small mistakes. When it was done, I saved it as a psd (photoshop) file and as a png (image) file aswell. I opened the image version (no more layers) and added a gradient curve to play with the overall colouring a bit, so that it would have a warmer feeling. I added the white frame and the texts and saved it again as a png file. VOILA ~

Haha well, you should check out the polygonal lasso tool (need to change it's basic options first though, so that it wouldn't colour the area automaticly with each click), it's rather useful for mouse users ;3 An alltime favourite technique of mine :D
Combined with layer locking (once you have a certain area filled with the base colour) it's epic win. And no need for a tablet ;3

This is my entry. I made my cleric like doll. same type of eyes(blue and green) and hair style also specially She is wearing the white Santa dress same as my cleric.She is sitting on a Santa's gift bag, you can see some gifts fallen out from it. And snow (which is Styrofoam board balls)scattered on the ground. Then to make it more colorful I used different color Garlands,led light balls and glittering pink table cloth.

I used my shirts to do this cute sack ^^ , First i used the scissors to cut my shirts, then sewed the xmast hat and the bottom&top of the sack ( so the socks inside cant scape ;p), then i made the green thing and sewed the ears ;p. Took me about 4~5 hours :o

If my characters would be alive, and I wouldn't have these nasty exams all week long, this is what we would do now.

The girl with brown hair and glasses is me ;P Obviously drawing something again XD haha I can't stop drawing :)

The boy with goatee behind me is my lovely boyfriend. <3

The black haired girl with the gingerbread cookies is my main cleric, Tsubaki (lvl 50). Without having her hair tied up here ;P -so pretty-

The boy with blue hair behind Tsu is BlackStar, her hubby and the main fighter of my boyfriend (also lvl 50).

The blonde girl decorating the tree is my 'youngest' character, Claire the fighter (just recently reached lvl 20 with her).

The girl with greyish green hair and red eyes is Tiamath, my mage (lvl 33), she's using her magic for lighting candles ;)

The boy with greyish green mohawk is Lokken, Tia's mage hubby and also belongs to my boyfriend.

Last but not least the grumpy looking girl with pink hair is my archer, Arisha (lvl 40) .


This is our little Fiesta Family, decorating the Christmas tree together -^_^- Hope you enjoy it -and I hope it's a valid entry, if not, it's okay-.
