SoS and Maplestory

Is SoS similar to Maplestory? I'm waiting for it to download at the moment, and upon looking at various things, it looks almost like a Runescape Maplestory mix. Anyone care to explain it a bit more, because the guide said next to nothing.

RO, Ragnarok Online, a well known (as far as I know) mmorpg, just google it (or use wikipedia or whatever)

SoS, is Ragnarok's engine with MapleStory's players.
In other words, best engine by far, sweet graphics, nice gameplay. ****ty community.

>.> I came from the games WoW and Final Fantasy. Not once have I every played the games Maplestory/RO. Both game have end game chars, but anyway community from what I have seen is decent, better then most. Except a few bad apples most know of a few of em like sophia.

yea Ragnarok is still dying since many people left....MapleStory is rather boring in my opinion (yes it's true that it's 2-d; it's also a side-scroller, meaning the background is flat and the only movement you can do is walk or run left and right)....

The Guy who use the Kunai its called a " Heremit " and u can become one at Lv 70
After u become a Thief (Lv 10)

and see how is it i played maple story i reach lv 86 and i get bored
(Lv 86 Dexless CB ) but i think if u want to lv easier try an archer theyr cool

Hey Shiryou maybe u havent played maple story very well and thast why u say that but if u play for a long tim u wont say it so dont talk bad about games when u reach a high Lv maybe u understand what im talking if not dont say a game its boring and about RO its only about the oficial Serv that ppl its leaving just take a Look at private servers and ull see theres a loot of ppl playing :D

the only resemblance between MS and SoS is the communtiy, mainly because you get alot of MS players here.

The resemblance between SoS and RO is (again the community) and the fact that there based of the same engine.

People tell me Ragnarok is another RPG avalible for download. But someone who plays it would know more then me. I also think that SoS looks really good. And even if it was derived from another game as long as Outspark did not break any laws I think everything should be ok. I like SoS's "old-mythic appeal".

Hmmm everyone is still saying nice things about this game... even after closed beta, that's always a good sign... unfortunately I missed the CBT but uhhh.... I'm going to hang out around these forums and wait for the game to come out and try it then :D

Personnaly I played both of them MSeurope SoS and RO, and Sos is more like RO in the graphic. After the community I can't tell.
And MS is fun in the beginning, I get bored of the game cause of the party mode, the lack in my opinion is the missing of healer in party.
So it's SoS forum I stopped talking about them (MSeurope & RO)

This game is such a RO wannabe ... the graffic and fighting engine is like exactly the same ... also if u compare the floor tile in this and RO. its just like a clone copy version. Far as i see... this is a cheaper version of RO less complicated. But still very amazing game among the ones out there. :D

well, i've never played online rpg before.

never found one that caught my attention.

SOS did that, I loveed it, but then it went to sleep till December. I met some ppl here that told me about maple story so I checked it out.

Yeha its all cute and nice, but the ppl are 5 year olds (mostly) and there are little ppl that play for 'the game' itself. It's all about buying stuff for your character and changing your hair color, and getting fame points, and getting married (???)

It's more of a social game in my opinion, which is nice, but still SOS kicks its ***.
