This fixed my issue and MAY, POSSIBLY fix other issues as well.
1. Let the launcher update until it hits the brick wall of some sort of error that triggers that unholy "see the logfile" dialog on exit. Make sure you don't have the launcher OR that dialog open, and make sure outspark.exe has fallen off your Task Manager list.
2. Navigate to <Windows drive>/Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Outspark
3. Open apps.conf in the text editor of your choice.
4. Change launcher,80 to launcher,77
5. Save and exit.
6. Rerun the launcher. With any luck it'll check quickly for launcher and fiesta updates, or simply skip the checks, and simply drop you into the regular login prompt.
I make no guarantees this will work for any particular case, nor do I guarantee it won't create other issues later.
oO
EDITED TO ADD: You may have to play with the number in step 4. I found that 78 and 80 crashed, 77 didn't get me into the game, but 79 triggered some patches that actually got me working again and I'm back in game finally.
