*NOTE: I do not claim any of this to be actual events, occurences, or plotlines of Secret of the Solstice. This is purely a fanfic and a brainchild of boredom - The only reason I wrote this is lack of an ACTUAL storyline.*

The Beginning

When Jureah looked out upon the universe and only saw the empty blackness that extended from her, it saddened her. Surely there could be something more than just the empty space she gazed upon now! She knew that being the High Goddess, she had powers of creation. Alone and without companions, she summoned her will to create her sons and daughters, now the Gods and Goddesses of Fate.

Jureah conversed with her children, and they agreed that there must be more than what was there. Together they began to shape the universe, creating stars and galaxies and planets. It was truly beautiful the sight that they beheld; but to them it was still not enough.

As they shaped their last planet, they looked upon it and sought to make it more beautiful than all the rest. One God rose from where he sat and said, "I shall be known as Water, and I shall make mighty waves and sparkle blue beneath the light of the sun. I shall be essential to all things, and I shall cover the planet." He then covered the planet with himself, and they became one.

As another Goddess rose, she proclaimed, "There must not be only Water upon this planet. I shall be Earth, which shall share the world with Water. I am dry where he is wet; but we shall move together as one to provide Life. This is my will." She wrapped herself around the world, and they became one.

"The world cannot be complete without Sky!" A God demanded. "I shall become Sky, and I shall be where Earth and Water are not. I shall blanket the world with myself, and I shall also be essential to life." Then Sky blanketed the world with himself, and they became one.

"We have Water, Earth, and Sky, which we know are essential to Life, but we do not have Life herself. I shall take the place of Life and create the flora and fauna which shall be within the Earth, Water, and Sky." The Goddess then split herself into beautiful creatures which roamed around the planet and took root into the Earth.

One by one the Gods and Goddesses rose and took form as companions of the four Great Ones. Soon, the world was made. Jureah's eldest Son stayed with her and helped to oversee the world. Through the years that followed, Jureah did not know that seeds of Jealousy were growing in her Son's heart as he watched her, and they continued to Rule.
On a day in the Heart of Winter where the cold creeped into the Earth and ice hung upon branches of the evergreens, the Son finally acted. He turned to his Mother and said, "It is now the season of Death. Your Children weep for their losses as the world dies; but we could prevent that. What if we made a race of Children of Equillibrium, who could protect Life in the world?"

Jureah contemplated her Son's proposal. She then resolved, "Though Death is truly Life in the cycle that rules this world, I shall agree to your wishes. We shall make the Children of Equillibrium, a most intelligent species under Life to save their siblings. They shall be known as Humans, and we shall give them the tools to make the world better." As they combined their wills, the Son swayed from his promise and gave the Humans resistance to what is Good; and made their very instincts to fight and to hate.

Jureah, realizing what he had done, tried her best to reverse his effects, but only partially succeeded. The Humans were forever corrupted; and they were already released upon the world. Turning to the Betrayer, she demanded to know why his actions had been so.
"Mother, you may be the High Goddess of Light, but since I am your eldest and you have no one to resist your powers, I shall take the role of High God of Darkness. From now on, to create Balance in the world and to truly create the Equillibrium you sought, we are enemies, Mother. Some days you may overcome me; and others I shall reign supreme. The Humans are corrupt; and I shall raise them as my Children to help me in my reign. Goodbye, Jureah. We shall meet again." He then fled to the Continent of Xen, and ever since the Neverending Battle of Good and Evil has ruled the lives of the People of Xen.
