SoS is already a closed beta. it says it on the screen of the game. i thought it was available to everyone. it isnt?

Although Admins state that SoS is in a state of closed beta, it is indeed not. Anyone can create an account and instantly play, which is an open beta. They most likely call it closed beta because they plan to have 2 phases and are going by the textbook since they don't have many MMOs out, and going closed->open, by naming scheme, even though it's really Open Beta Phase 1/2.

In other words, feel free to make an account and download it.

Not entirely true. Some people are getting in and some do not. I am calling it random beta.

Random beta ?but i get in all the time how is that possible?
I've been asking GM Steam when the opened beta server would open but he does not answer.:(

Seems if you get in once you are in, but other people register for the game and can not download the client, so I call it random beta. Since it randomly lets people download and play.

The GM's won't, and probably cannot, give you a definite answer. Do them a favor and stop spamming them. And yes it is still a closed beta because many people cannot get it. The random beta that was referred to before was to who gets in, not when you can get in.
